Hi Peter Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are so sorry you have experienced these problems during your stay. Both we and our team in Alvor work very hard to ensure our guests have the highest standard of accommodation and service during their stay. We are therefore extremely disappointed by your experience. Neither previous guests or the cleaners were aware of a problem with the shower head holder prior to your stay. As you know following notification from yourselves, this was repaired but regrettably that repair did not last. Unfortunately our agents in Alvor were not aware that the problem had recurred otherwise it would have been replaced. I am pleased to advise that a replacement is scheduled for tomorrow. With regard to the television not working the problem in the first instance was that the annual subscription had expired. This was resolved on the day you advised. Obviously this should not have happened and was an oversight on my part for which I can only apologise. The subsequent problem was caused by a storm close to one of the receivers which caused all TV boxes which rely on that receiver to be down. We understand from other owners that other TV boxes in Solrio and presumably Alvor were similarly affected. Unfortunately in these circumstances there is nothing we can do but wait for the infrastructure to be repaired. We completely understand your disappointment which we share. I wish after contacting us initially regarding both these issues you had got back in touch to let us know that you still had problems. In the case of the showered holder we would have arranged replacement, and with the TV, although we couldn't have brought the receiver back into action, we would have been able to guide you through how to access the many films and series we have stored on hard drive attached to the television. With regard to being able to hear the guests in the apartment above this is something we will need to monitor. We have not received similar feedback from any guests in any of our three ground floor apartments at Solrio nor have we experienced the same ourselves. If it appears this is an ongoing problem we will speak with the upstairs owners. As we were not aware of this problem until now, we were unable to take any action during your stay. We always encourage guests to let us know of any problems during their stay and I thank you again for letting us know of the issues you encountered. Kind regards Yasmin
