Hafan Dawel is a beautifully restored 17th-century barn offering exceptional holiday accommodation in the charming coastal village of Penally, just one mile southwest of Tenby. This luxurious stone property has been meticulously renovated to combine historic character with high-quality contemporary comfort. Original features such as its foot-thick stone walls, exposed beams and traditional stable doors have been carefully preserved, creating a home that is both distinctive and full of charm.
The accommodation is spacious, welcoming and thoughtfully designed for relaxing stays with family and friends. The large open-plan kitchen is the heart of the home, complete with a range cooker and a substantial acacia dining table that’s perfect for long, sociable meals together. The cosy lounge provides a wonderful place to unwind, and in the cooler months the log fire adds warmth and atmosphere after a day exploring the coast.
Outside, the enclosed garden offers plenty to enjoy for all ages. The wood-fired outdoor pool provides a unique and memorable experience, heated by a traditional log burner. As it is wood-fired, there may occasionally be small natural particles such as tiny pieces of wood or ash in the water. There is also a large picnic table for outdoor dining and an impressive wooden play area featuring swings, a rock wall, bridge and fireman’s pole, making it a fantastic space for children to enjoy.
For hygiene and safety reasons, the hot tub is drained and refilled with fresh water for each arrival, so it will need to be heated on your arrival day. Logs are provided and should be sufficient for your stay depending on usage; if additional logs are required, they can be purchased locally. With beautiful coastal walks, sandy beaches and the historic town of Tenby close by, Hafan Dawel offers a truly special base for discovering this stunning part of Pembrokeshire.

Everything was perfect. Unfortunately we didn’t have good weather to use all the. Facilities
We had a lovely 4 night stay at the Barn Conversion. On arrival the photo of the house makes it look bigger but there was still plenty of room to park our vehicles on the drive, a nice garden area and the children’s play equipment was great. The rooms of the house were all a great size and everything was there that we expected. The bathrooms were clean as were most of the living spaces. Unfortunately there was broken glass on the dining room table but we cleared that up. The house is in a lovely quiet location with an easy walk down to Penally beach and along to Tenby. If we had any improvements that could be made to the house we would suggest that the downstairs rooms and bathrooms could do with curtains/blinds as after dark it feels quite exposed, especially the bathrooms. Also the windows were very dirty and could do with a clean. There was also no logs supplied for the hot tub even though it specified a small amount would be.Other than those couple of improvements we did enjoy our time there and the host communication for check in etc was perfect.

Subject: Feedback Regarding Our Recent Stay
1.Cleanliness: Unfortunately, the house did not meet the cleanliness standards we were expecting. It was very dusty, and the light fixtures were covered in cobwebs. The areas under the furniture appeared unclean, and the stairs, as well as the dining room table chairs were dirty and stained.2.Bathroom Taps: The taps in the en-suite bathroom is loos and the water drain very slowly, making it inconvenient for multiple users.3.Downstairs Bathroom: The floor of the downstairs bathroom remained wet, and there was an unpleasant smell throughout our stay.4.Outdoor Bins: We were surprised to find there were no dustbins provided outside for rubbish disposal, which made waste management during our stay quite inconvenient. 5. Hot tub’s fireplace was full of water which we drained because we would like it use but we did not because the fireplace was damaged inside so we were unable to use even we put plenty of wood inside.Having stayed in Tenby several times over the years, this was the first time we left feeling disappointed. Given the premium cost of the property, we had higher expectations for its upkeep and amenities.
What a lovely property, fantastic location, everything there for my family to enjoy. lots of fun with the hot tub, My son managed to regulate the fire for tub very well. The Paddock Inn was so convenient and the staff and food was lovely.
Would defiantly recommend this property . Thank you for the lovely welcome goodies. a lovely touch.
Ideal property for large family to stay.Good layout

We thought the garden area was bigger and also was enclosed . It was not so we had safety issues with the children. We were disappointed that it was a wood burner hot tub . It took us all week to get it lit and then got too hot . Our inexperience but was quite difficult. But the layout inside the house was ideal for us . And we had a lovely break .
