Outdoors the home offers privacy and a large covered concrete dock, fire pit with wood, kindling and roasting sticks, corn hole, hot tub, outdoor seating for 12+, 2 Kayaks/paddles, 2 Paddle boards/paddles, parking for 3-4 cars in driveway (additional parking available if needed ask for details), stainless steel cable railing, and natural gas Blackstone griddle. Indoors you will find a fully equipped kitchen (appliances, crock pot, blender, toaster, mixer, pots/pans, glassware, plates, cups, bowls, utensils, griddle, George Foreman grill, regular coffee pot & more), USB outlet in kitchen for charging convenience, 2 person 'Doc & Pies' arcade game and a separate foos ball table. Nice place

Great for family stay. Older adults my have issue w steps leading to dock but my mom said it was worth it. Would stay there again.

Slice of heaven

We had the best time! The accommodations were wonderful. The location of the house was amazing, tucked in a cove so the kids can safely swim, kayak, paddle board etc. Marie had everything we needed to enjoy a fire and love that she supplied extra paper towel and toilet paper etc. The set up of the house was awesome for 7 kids and 4 adults in our group. Mountain Lake Marina is right around the corner. We put our wakeboard boat in at a public boat ramp just a few miles down from the house so that was really convenient. Would definitely stay here again!

wonderful weekend on the lake

This property was great, better than the pictures. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay. We'll definitely be back!

What a great place for a family getaway

Amazing location, quite and tucked away from the boat traffic but close to some great activities. The water at norris lake is unbelievable clean and turquoise. The owner was always in communication and very helpful. Would definently stay here again.

Peaceful and relaxing getaway!

We had a peaceful and relaxing time at Hiwassee Haven. We loved the beautiful lake views from the back decks and from the large private dock. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. The owner was kind, thoughtful, and attentive to make sure we had everything to make our stay enjoyable.

Awesome property!!!

The property was fabulous….clean, accessible, had all the amenities you would need. The host was easy to get a hold of. Would definitely recommend this property! It’s perfectly located in a nice, quiet cove. Our family of 10 enjoyed all it had to offer. We will definitely go back.

Norris Family Vacation

My family and I enjoyed a weeklong vacation on beautiful Norris Lake during the first week of July. Marie was great to work with and quick to answer any questions or concerns that we had. The home was clean and met our expectations for a great week on the lake. We loved having the paddleboard’s, kayaks and floating toys. I would definitely recommend this vacation home.

Relaxing Family Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is located in a quiet cove and the large covered dock made it a great place to relax and swim. There was plenty of outdoor equipment, provided by the owner, for us to use which was wonderful because we didn’t have a boat. The sleeping accommodations were comfortable and we all had plenty of room to sleep in beds. Kitchen was very well equipped and supplied with paper goods. Wonderful time.

Nice and serene

Really nice place. We enjoyed the quite serenity. Steep incline was a little tricky but we managed. The interior did smell a little like smoke. But over all it was really nice property with beautiful view of the lake!

Great Property

The location of this house was great. In a private cove which was nice and it was located about 30 minutes from 1-75. There are two marina's that are close and plenty of open space on the lake to explore. The dock was perfect to hang out on when we were off the boat with plenty seating space for our large group. The house was well equipped with all the necessary things you need to cook. We would definitely return!!

Good location, close to Route 75.

Marie was great with communication, and very accommodating. The house and amenities were nice and as described. Location is deep in a cove with limited boat traffic, making it a great spot to swim from the dock. The dock is newer and in great condition with covered slip. The home is setup really well for a family with kids ages 4 and older. There are a fair amount of steps to climb, which may be challenging for very young and and older guests.

Great cabin for kids

We had two families staying at this cabin with a total of 10 people, including 7 kids (ages 7 through 17). The cabin was perfect for us! The layout was great and with multiple beds in most of the rooms we had plenty of room for everyone. The game room in the basement was great for the kids. The internet was very fast with no issues. The cabin was extremely well-stocked and very clean. The host was very friendly and had great communications. The cabin is in a beautiful location and since it was the off season it was nice and quiet. The hot tub and fire pit were great amenities and even in December the weather was nice enough to allow us to do some fishing and paddle boating. We would love to come back in the summer so we can enjoy the lake more.

Best Family Get Away

I can’t be happier with the stay here. From the very beginning of the booking process, the owner was clear and communicative. She went out of her way to answer questions and even ask her daughter for more advice. We loved the house, had space for all the members of our family. When my me, my husband and kids wanted a break from our in laws, we found retrieve outside or on the dock. The property is beautiful, and so well maintained. Everything you need was available, from dishes for more than 10, to entertainment such as kayaks and paddle boards. Even enough trash bags!!! (Sometimes at VRBOs, we run out!) Everything was clean and well taken care of! We had a picturesque family vacation mostly due to this amazing home! I couldn’t recommend it more.

Lake get away

Very clean, very well stocked - plenty of toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags for 12 people! Kids loved the board games, arcade game and foosball. It was great having paddle boards and kayaks provided. Good workout walking down the hill to the lake and back up to the house! Convenient to the marina - we rented a pontoon boat.

Great Stay-Great Host

The house was clean and kitchen well stocked. We cooked 4 out of the 5 nights we were there, including large breakfasts, and we had everything we needed--nothing amiss. Outdoor dining space was lovely--with seating for at least 16. The dock was one of the best we have used during our summer trips. It was secluded with a great view, kayaks and paddle boards for the kids, great swimming, and even small fish our grandson loved trying to catch with a net. Marie was very responsive with any questions, and made great suggestions for things in town. Could not have asked for a better stay! Thank you.

Family Week

Hiwassee Haven is a quiet, beautiful cove! The house had everything we needed. With Mountain Lake Marina so close by we were able to rent a pontoon and have them deliver it (the nicest crew and great food)!! My daughter needed to work during the week and had no problems with Wi-Fi. We appreciated the cleanliness of the home and the cozy atmosphere. With the various levels we were able to accommodate our family so nicely. Perfect week! Thank you Marie!

Fantastic!

We absolutely loved our stay at Hiwassee Haven! Marie was amazing to communicate with and was extremely responsive. The location is perfect! Back in a cove with little to no traffic. We loved paddling around on all the toys that were included! Our daughter and her friends paddled out to jumping rock and played on that for a while. The house was PERFECT! So clean, everything included and the perfect layout for two adults and three teen girls. We could have easily had more guests! Overall a wonderful trip!!

What makes this property unique

As Norris Lake has become very popular so has the boat traffic in mid summer. This home is near the end of a quite cove yet we have deep year around water. The distance to town is better than most other areas as well as its just minutes to several popular marinas. Its a great cabin feel home in the heart of Norris Lake.
