This cabin was exactly as desribed! It was a charming older cabin right on the New Meadows River, with spectacular water views from the back porch. While our stay was a short two nights, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It wasdecorated so nicely. Check-in went smoothly. The kitchen was sufficient. We loved the dock, and loved sitting there looking at the water. The kids loved the hammock. The porch was also very nice.

Rustic charm. Beautiful location to stay if you are looking for a quiet place to chill. It has that cabin feel. Where you can have the quality time you want. Be aware that it does get cool at night in the cold months. Has one heater that does a nice job warming the place up a bit. Also a stove. Plenty of games to do. Planty of locations to chill.

This is a gem of a Maine Cottage. The owners are very lucky to have had it in their family for such a long time. The historic charm is fantastic.

Great place by the water - quiet neighborhood and perfect for relaxing. Definitely a cabin environment - so expect accommodations accordingly. When we arrived, it was very hot in the cabin and very very hot upstairs - my recommendation would be for the crew who cleaned prior to arrival of guests to open the windows and put in the screens to help keep temperatures comfortable for the incoming guests. Once we opened all the windows, it did eventually cool down but took several hours. The deck area was wonderful to just relax in a chair by the water. Hammock was another favorite.

This is a very traditional cottage, no air conditioning, which is not a big deal most of the time, and very rustic. It is closer to camping than staing in a house. IT IS JUST WHAT WE LOVE! The bald eagles roost above the cabin, the doc is great to sit on and swim off of mostvof the day, low tide gives lots of opportunity to explore the shore line. And it is quiet!!!! 6 of us managed the single bathroom fine, and we all worked to keep water usage down. My cousin is one of of the families down the road who appreciates us not overuseing the well water. I highlyvrecomend this cabin to those who want to experience the true Maine experience. You can watch the lobster boats from the screened porch and just enjoy a real vacation.

We'll be back!

This cabin has a fun, campy feel with excellent access to the water and a fabulous, huge screened-in porch. The furnishings were homey and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We kayaked and fished all week and enjoyed a very relaxing vacation right on the water.

A real old time Maine camp on the water

This was just what we were looking for. Rustic, nothing fancy, but had some modern amenities. The most beautiful sunset was a bonus.

Serence old house in beautiful location

Rustic old home with a private boat dock. We've stayed here twice and will return again. A place to get away. Has everything you need. Only one bathroom but didn't really pose an issue (4 adults and one baby).

Quintessential Maine Camp

This was the perfect quintessential Maine camp! Beautiful location right on the water was comfortable but rustic as expected. Lots of character and charm! We spent so much time enjoying the dock, swimming, and relaxing on the screened in porch. Highly recommend! Would definitely go back!

Lovely views, period and setting atmospheric, good choice

We enjoyed our stay and found the owners provided numerous little helpful extras. The only somewhat significant challenge is the recurring 31 stairs' climb, but the reward is a great view.

Peaceful retreat

The front porch is wonderful, beautiful views, nice breeze , great place to hang and relax. We thought the shower might need a re-do and the steps from house going down to the dock as well.

Fantastic Sun sets

Great screened in porch to enjoy the sunsets. Or you can take them in from the dock. House itself has been well loved over the years and is comfortable enough for our long weekend.

Cozy ocean side getaway

This is a very cute, cozy ocean side cabin. It had plenty of space for our group (5 adults). There is only one bathroom which is slightly inconvenient but it is a trade off for the beautiful views. We had a couple of issues regarding the shower and a leak from the roof but the communication was very prompt. Overall a very nice stay!

Like summer camp!

The house is very campy. Perfect location. Very quiet. It only has one bathroom which can be tricky with 6 people. We loved it but we are very informal and used to summer camps. If you want all modern amenities this might not be the place for you.

House was unsafe and misrepresented

You should not be representing this property or Vacasa as a company. The house was dangerous. Broken windows and fixtures, mold and mildew all over, and holes in the walls.

Maine Camp

This is a typical rustic Maine summer time camp with which I am well familiar. The location is lovely and the house is a typical old camp. Pretty much everything but the coffee maker is fine. The coffee maker appears to have a mismatched caraffe which is nearly impossible to remove and the coffee maker routinely spill a half cup to a cup of coffee on the counter and the floor. Please replace it. The price a Is a little stiff for a coffee maker that does not work and a refridgerator with a broken handle. It took removing the first trash bag to discover there were a couple more underneath. The notice on the refridgerator referred us to two helpful people if questions arose....but no contact number was available. A nice old camp, but just missing it on routine maintenance issues
