3 Bedroom Cottage Right On Heal Cove Located on a 52 Acre Private Preserve
About Kimberly Moore
While I am the representative for the rental of the Hubbard Point Trust properties, the Trust is owned by my family, the Ahlers. The Hubbard Point Trust was left to my family by our Aunt Doris, who purchased the property during the sixties. Everyone in the family has many wonderful memories of our travels to Maine from NewJersey and our many adventures on Westport Island with Aunt Doris. We feel incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to continue to enjoy this beautiful Maine property many years after her passing and to introduce Maine life to the continuing generations of our family. Memories of our aunt are here everywhere for us on the point. The DAL house was recently renovated and decorated so as to make it available for summer rentals. The Dunn house has been carefully restored and updated with addition of a beautiful sunroom that Aunt Doris, an architect, would certainly approve of. She loved to use skylights and windows to take advantage of the beautiful Maine views. She even was known to do her drawings in the net house that sits upon Heal Cove. Any addition or update is always done with her in mind. We think she would be proud of the care and love that has been put into her beloved Westport Island homes.
What makes this Cottage unique
The Dunn and DAL houses are located on our private 52 acre preserve. The Hubbard Point is surrounded by water on all sides with the Dunn house on the western shore on Hockomock Bay and the DAL on the eastern shore, sitting right upon Heal Cove. This offers renters a unique opportunity to rent both houses for larger groups. The houses are only are short walk away from each other on the property, separated by the tall pines of the forrest between them. The houses are close enough for a group yet far enough away that if you are renting one home you have privacy. 52 acres with its miles of shoreline, woodland trails, expansive yards are yours to explore. Hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, kayaking, bird and nature watching are all right here. You may never want to leave!

What a great stay we had! Lots of activity in October. Our dog Callie had a great experience, and we did too! Foliage, pumpkin carving and pumpkin parade! Dog friendly establishments. Would highly recommend!
The property was even better than described online. There is no way you can put into words the quiet and serenity of the DAL house. So peaceful....
If you choose you can go out to Route 1 and visit Brunswick, Bath, Five Islands, Harpswell or you can stay at DAL house and hike to Hubbard Point, fish or watch the wildlife. The sunroom is always a perfect spot to watch the tide come in.
Highly recommend the DAL house.
Thank you for your wonderful review! I’m so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay.
love this property
This is a wonderful home if you want to some peace and quiet. We were really able to relax. The house is fully equipped and very comfortable. The property is amazing. Our dogs loved the yard and the trails. We loved being out by the water during the day and under the stars at night. only problem was having to leave
This was a very pretty setting.
The setting was very pretty, calming. The front steps however, are a bit dangerous. I would suggest leveling the stones and adding a handrail. The house itself was very comfortable.
I’m happy to hear that you enjoyed the house.
Thank you for your suggestions. Since the old granite steps are steep, the other entrance to our house has a ramp to the deck which provides an easier and accessible entrance to the house for anyone that may have a difficult time with any type of steps. It is also wheel chair accessible.
Scenic Relaxing Getaway
Gorgeous views. Clean house. Comfortable beds. Well stocked kitchen paraphernalia. Responsive host. Close enough to Maine attractions, but secluded enough to get away and truly relax. We kept an eye on the tides and enjoyed kayaking.
We loved.the Dal house!
Looking forward to next year.
