Casa di Mare – Amalfi Coast sea rental house Location:
Located in Amalfi Coast, Casa di Mare is a very panoramic accommodation facing the Beach of Salicerchie.

It lies in the homonymous village just a few steps away from the famous Norman Tower of Maiori.

The property is set in the rock and placed next to an ancient lemon grove whose aromas inebriate the Villa’s guests as well as the bathers while enjoying the splendid Beach of Salicerchie.

The Beach of Salicerchie is just few steps (only 150) down below, this is to say that you can reach the villa directly through a typical stone-made stairs of the Amalfi Coast.

The beach has a beach club but a free area is also available.

Don’t miss this charming beach!

Swimming from the bay it is possible to reach some of the most spectacular caves of the coast including the famous sulfur spring cave.

This cave has beneficial and healing waters and importantly visitors can easily tap into it.

The horseshoe structure of the valley offers a spectacle that alternates rocks and agricultural terraces which paint themselves orange at the sunset.

Enjoy this enchanted peace, secluded from the tourist clamor of the nearby Maiori.

The village of Salicerche is just ten minutes walking from Maiori and to reach the town center there is an excellent bus and taxi service.

The villa has also an agreement with a nearby car park that offers a free shuttle service.

You can reach spectacular places like Amalfi and Positano in a very short time.

Casa di Mare – Amalfi Coast sea rental house Description:
To reach the villa, easily reachable via a characteristic stone staircase, only 15 steps.

It consists of two independent units communicating through an internal door and a fully equipped annex is also available.

The structure gives you the real feeling of being on board a sinuous sailing ship.

The construction runs alongside the rock following its curves and joints. The large central balcony gives the feeling of being suspended over the sea.

The rooms follow one another offering glimpses of an infinite horizon from the bright windows.

The main body of the house offers two double bedrooms where it is possible to add two more single beds and a double sofa bed located in the large living room.

There are two bathrooms; one with a bathtub and the other one with a shower, and two practical central kitchens that directly overlook the terrace.

The annex has a double bedroom, a bathroom with shower and a kitchen / living area with fireplace.

Outside spaces:
The Villa also offers a semi covered terrace of 80 square meters which leads to the access to the lemon house.

The terrace has an outdoor kitchen with a solarium and a shower.

The Villa is ideal for a holiday with friends but it is also perfect to meet the needs of a family who wants to enjoy the dream of a summer in Amalfi.

This large apartment is also divisible into two units, each with 4 beds, completely independent from each other and with separate entrances.

From the wide terrace just outside the kitchen it is possible to reach the beach by a private staircase that pass through the lemon grove.

On the terrace you will find a shower.

With its enchanting view of the sea, the villa is perfect for a romantic escape with or without children.

The villa has a direct access to an area equipped with a barbecue and a pizza oven and shaded by a rustic pergola.

This terrace also, offers a breathtaking view of the beach, the emerald sea and the landscape of the Cilento Coast that appears just like a mirage on the horizon.

The dependance is on two levels connected by the external staircase at the bottom.

The apartment has a full sea view and consists of a large bedroom upstairs with an adjacent bathroom.

Downstairs kitchen / living room, with double sofa bed and fireplace. Outside, a lovely garden overlooking the sea.

Music entertainment, cooking service and yoga lessons are service available upon request on payment.

Pretty unique home! It’s basically one longgg hallway with rooms. Every room has a view of the private beach below and the crystal blue water. Walking distance to the main city, about 10 minutes. Also if you are going to wedding in that area, which we did, there’s a very popular venue (Torre Normanna) at a 5 minute walk. The home needed a few things when we got there and I contacted the host and the owner was nice enough to bring it over. Recommend it

Loved the location, the house is built into the cliffs with a beach right below. The porches had amazing views! The AC worked well. The beach was gorgeous but I was surprised the locals left a lot of garbage everywhere. Also this place has a major ant problem - they came and sprayed once while we were there and they were back the next day. They were coming in from the walls.

Beautiful hillside villa

We enjoyed our five night stay. The location was perfect as a home base to enjoy maiori/minori and to explore the other towns of the coast. The cove and private beach are really special. Would stay again if I was in the area.

Maiori is perfect and the view from the accomodation is amazing. Enough space for eight people, extremely helpful hosts who helped organise deliveries for us. Actual accommodation is a little run down/tired and wasn’t quite clean when we arrived.

A beautiful villa with private beach

The villa was absolutely beautiful, perfectly equipped with everything we needed and the 2 balconies were a treat! A smaller one right off the kitchen for a morning coffee, and the larger balcony which was perfect for outdoor meals together. The location was excellent as well, easy to get around and very close to Amalfi, but not right in the chaos of it all. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a luxury yet quiet stay in the Amalfi Coast!

Hidden gem, amazing

This house was amazing. Tucked into a lemon grove it had a beautiful view of the cliffs and a water cove. Easy access to a public beach and swimming cove. 5 minute walk to town. We felt safe and there was plenty of room even with 7 of us. I would recommend this place to anyone. This was one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed.

The location couldn’t have been more perfect! We did run into some cleaning issues and the mattress in two of the rooms need to be replaced. The porch area needed some attending for cleaning. If cleaning and those other items were fixed it would have been amazing!

Amazing place to stay ! Absolute perfection !!! We cannot wait to come back and we are going to tell our friends about this place! This property is even better than the pictures and description ! Maiori is such a perfect spot and the private beach we enjoyed thoroughly. Very friendly and easy check in experience and check out too was very easy ! Cannot say enough ... we stayed for few days but would have stayed for longer. All the comforts of home ... air conditioning , beautiful showers ... even outdoor shower with gorgeous views !!! Love

We thoroughly enjoyed this unique, off the beaten track experience. While we agree with the previous reviewers about the quirks and small inconveniences of this property, the location and views are spectacular and unforgettable! Just open the doors, and enjoy the color and sound of the surf while the white curtains blow in the wind while the warm sun pours into the room! We fed and enjoyed the owners very friendly outdoor kitties that roam the property. The short walk into town along the road is stunning. Francesca, the manager, was lovely, helpful, and welcoming. Thank you!

Perfect location!

The MOST beautiful view and sunsets! Loved the patio off the kitchen for relaxing. Short walk to town which is very convenient. You will need to get many items for your stay (extra toilet paper, soap, salt/pepper, paper towels). Bring an extra mirror for other rooms for your convenience if you have more than 4 people. There was an ant problem so don’t leave any food or trash out. Large coffee pot did not work. Overall, wonderful place to stay and we highly recommend! We would return again. Just be prepared with a few things.

Stay at Maiori

The property is located on the beach and has stunning views from the balcony. Location is the only advantage of this property. During our stay when we were battling temperatures above 90 F, ACs in all our rooms were dysfunctional. The property manager knew about this and as we were checking out the technician arrived to fix the AC. If you thought you would enjoy a relaxing shower at the end of the day, leaky, water clogged bathrooms will help you learn quick. There were no bathroom supplies such as bath soap or hand soap, let alone shampoos or lotions. Although there are two kitchens in this house, they definitely lacked basic amenities such as a working coffee maker or a microwave. We have been booking vacation rental houses for the past 10 years and we have never experienced such inconvenience. I would not recommend this property.

The view and beach access were amazing

There were issues worth mentioning. Before that though know Francesca is wonderful and will take great care of you. The owner as well was great and helped us when needed. So know you are in good hands if you need them. With that, know if you are a family that likes to cook like we do, don't expect much. The kitchen didn't even have a spatula and lacked common items like salt. It does have pots, pans, cups, plates, forks and spoons so you can get by but it's not ideal if you are use to cooking and navigating a well equipped kitchen. It does have two kitchen, so two stoves, two refrigerators, two sinks, etc which came in handy as the stoves are small. One of the stoves doesn't light and the lighter provided was empty so we bought our own. I'm sure if we asked Francesca would have provided one but she helped with so much we didn't want to bother her. The interior isn't much to look at as well. The beds are hard and are thin are pillows thin. So why did we give 5-stars? You are paying for the view and direct access to the beach. The place is large too. While the house itself is thin/narrow, its very long. It's built into the side of the cliff and the backyard is an expansive lemon orchard/garden. My kids loved picking lemons and making fresh lemonade. There are two balconies with sweeping views of cliffs, beach, and ocean and a third garden balcony with great views too. All breathtaking. The beach is 60 sec away and not crowed. So in the end because of this it's a 5-star stay.

Nice location

The house was in a pretty great location but the setup leaves a few things to be desired. The best way to describe it is it’s like a long rail road car. There’s 2 bedrooms at one end of the house, then you walk thru two kitchens to a common room, then a bedroom, then the terrace. So if you stay at the one end of the house you have to walk through another 2 bedrooms and the common area to get to the terrace. I think it’s a 2 apartment rental which the turned into one space for a larger party. One of the showers is a stand in tub type. The beach below is small and can be crowded, and you pay for chairs and an umbrella. It’s a very steep walk up and down several stairs and there is a lot trash on the stairs and beach. Once at the beach it’s a nice swimming area. Views from the house are pretty amazing, overlooks the water and cove. Maiori is nice, older type tourist town with crowded beaches but we were there in the high season. Lots of choices for food and drink with a nice sidewalk alone the beach. Contact with the agency was super easy and the girl who met us (Francesca) was extremely nice and very helpful. There’s no parking so if you arrive by car keep that in mind but she arranged parking for us which was in town. We had an early departure and the service she sets up (Aldo’s transportation) was right on time. You can walk to town in about 10 minutes but it’s along a busy road so keep that in mind. Overall this is probably better for a group of 6-8 people vice more.

L’emplacement est de premier ordre, vue sur une petite plage et à 10 minutes à pied de Maiori (en marchant au bord de la route).Il faut savoir que le logement est tout en longueur. On rentre directement dans une chambre que l’on traverse pour accéder à une seconde chambre, puis une cuisine puis une autre puis le salon puis une troisième chambre qui mène à la terrasse. Il n’y a aucun couloir. Nous aurions aimé que la description de l’annonce soit plus explicite sur ce point.Par ailleurs, la propreté de l’ensemble est perfectible, l’équipement du logement est basique et vieillissant, la seconde terrasse inexploitable.Enfin, en guise de service de navette vers un Parking pour les véhicules tels que présenté dans l’annonce (aucun stationnement possible dans les environs), il s avère que l’on vient prendre en charge votre voiture et on vous explique que si vous en avez besoin, il suffit d’envoyer un message au contact qui vous la ramènera dans les 10 minutes. En réalité nous sommes restés sans nouvelle de ce contact plusieurs jours et l’avons attendu plus d’une heure au moment de quitter le logement malgré les rappels de l’heure du Check out la veille et le matin même et en dépit d’une prestation facturée 20 euros par jours…Le potentiel de cette location est certain mais la prestation globale décevante.

Bijzonder huis op prachtige locatie!

Het huis was heel bijzonder, gebouwd tegen een rotswand aan in de lengte, alle verblijven achterelkaar gebouwd, inclusief twee mooie terrassen, met prachtig uitzicht op de (bijna privé)baai. Francesca was heel aardig en ontzettend behulpzaam, super host.

Belle villa très typique de la Côte

Nous avons séjourné dans un petit groupe de 4 adultes et 2 enfants et nous avons tous eu nos espaces pour se reposer. Nous avons adoré l’accessibilité à la plage en quelques marches ( très reposant et peu achalandé ) Nos enfants ont adoré partir à la recherche des poissons et que dire de la vue sur le petite baie ! Nous avons adorés la douche extérieure lors du retour de la plage c’était très pratique ! Merci encore !
