We had a wonderful stay in Yorkshire and really enjoyed our time here. The cottage was the perfect base for our family to explore the North York Moors, Whitby and the many beautiful places nearby.We especially loved the peaceful location, the beautiful countryside and the cosy atmosphere of the house. Everything was clean, well equipped and exactly what we had hoped for.Mark and Moya were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Communication was always easy and we really felt at home.Yorkshire completely won us over, and this lovely place was a big part of what made our holiday so special. We would happily come back and can highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic hidden gem!

Beautiful accommodation - quiet, beautiful walks, views, friendly locals. Ideal for taking two teenagers - they had their own bedroom bathroom and sitting area. Easy reach to the tourist attractions and hosts were welcoming, organised and nothing was too much trouble.

A wonderful 3 night stay

We had a fabulous time over NewYear in this lovely, cosy, warm & well-equipped property. Hosts were very welcoming. Fabulous views and lovely walks nearby and a trip into Whitby just a short drive away. A beautiful snow covered landscape on our final day.

Wonderful stay

Amazing property in a stunning part of Yorkshire. The views form the garden were breathtaking. Very comfortable barn conversion, everything to a very high standard. We were made very welcome by owners and locals. A truly enjoyable break away.

A simply wonderful place to stay

This was a perfect place for two couples/friends to enjoy being together. The countryside was beautiful, the view spectacular and the barn a pleasure to be in and so well equipped. A relative short distance to the coast and some beautiful dale’s villages with some great pubs. It was a wonderful week.

Fantastic short break

We had a wonderful holiday at Postgate Barn. The property is beautifully finished and full of character. It’s also very well appointed and has a spectacular view across the valley. The location is fantastically remote, whilst also being within easy reach of Whitby and the coast. Our hosts made us very welcome too, highly recommended!

We wanted a place in the moors as a base for exploring Yorkshire. Postgate farm was a perfect. The location makes it easy to explore the area and the accommodations make you look forward to retuning each night. It was delightful to nestle-in at Postgate Barn. Mark and Moya were perfectly welcoming and gracious.This thoughtfully appointed country retreat is charming, with perfect accommodations for two couples. Attention to detail gives it lots of comfort and character. We enjoyed breathtaking views of the moors, lovely sitting areas to enjoy the morning sun, daily hikes along the ridge and wine in the evenings.It offers easy access for day trips to local villages coastal towns. High quality property in a peaceful location

We’re a family of four that was looking for a short escape from the frenetic urban environment. This cottage is in an amazingly beautiful and quiet location. You can enjoy the birds singing with a lovely view from the back garden and great views of the stars on a clear night. The property is of a high standard, as described, very warm on cold days and the hosts are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Well located to see the moors and surrounding towns and cities.
