About this property
Trinity View YORK - One Bedroom Apartment, Sleeps 2
Trinity View is a lovely, recently remodeled ground floor apartment on the corner of Micklegate and Trinity Lane, in this historic central location in York.
A touch of luxury- with complimentary Prosecco and fresh flowers waiting for all bookings over 3 nights.
Standing on the original Roman road into Eboracum and at the Royal entrance into York since medieval times Trinity View has witnessed all of the history of York. The house dates from 1780 and has, amongst many others, been a vicarage, the venue of York's magic lantern society and seances, a pharmacists and York's first greengrocers. It was initially a prestigious Georgian home and then descended into both a stone masons for Trinity Church and Jacob’s Well, and also a blacksmiths for the York to London Stagecoach. Once it had no less than 15 residents in three families, plus horses, resident on the property. Now carefully restored as an English Heritage Listed Building to it’s former glory, it is filled with antiques, original features and information about it’s past heritage.
Close to all the local attractions, and only 5 minutes walk away from the train station, the apartment is light and spacious. There is an outside courtyard garden area with seating. The apartment is beautifully decorated and furnished, and benefits from secondary glazing and wooden window shutters, guaranteeing peace and quiet despite the lively central location.
There is a separate kitchen with breakfast bar, a large well furnished living room and a sumptuous bathroom with a roll top slipper bath and separate shower enclosure. The bright well fitted kitchen also contains a washer/dryer and fridge/freezer.
The bedroom has large fitted wardrobes and a stunning double bed originating from the same period that the house was built.
The whole apartment is warmed by under-floor heating. The perfect place to stay and explore the city of York.
There is lovely enclosed garden space with some cover and outdoor seating .
There is no parking with this property but it is close to 3 long stay car-parks and York Train station.
