A superb detached wooden lodge that fits the description of a Norfolk hideaway to a tee, Willow Lodge is tucked discreetly away down an unassuming lane in the middle of the tranquil coastal village of Holme-next-the-Sea. If you are looking for a peaceful place to relax and unwind then you've found it, but it's equally the perfect place if you enjoy being active too, with the beach just a twelve minute walk away.
When you first step inside Willow Lodge you will certainly not be disappointed - new double glazed windows and external doors have been fitted to ensure you will kept snug and warm and the quality smart/casual interiors, dressed by a local stylist with a Norfolk theme, are sure to make you feel right at home. The welcoming L-shaped dual aspect open-plan living area with it's high ceiling is light, airy and spacious, allowing enough room for everyone to spread out. On bright and warm days, open the french doors to expand the living space even further onto the generous south facing decked patio and private enclosed garden below. The three beautifully furnished bedrooms (master king-size, double and twin) and two bathrooms (one is en-suite) are found in the other half of the lodge and all promise to ensure you a good night's sleep.
Holme-next-the-Sea, sitting at the end of Peddars Way and mid way between Thornham and Old Hunstanton, is one of our favourite coastal villages. Quieter than some of the others, it has a very laid back, gentle feel but still has a great local dog-friendly pub, The White Horse, popular with locals and visitors alike. The beach is sandy, wild and wonderful, and home to variety of fantastic bird life - you will often see striking black cormorants standing along the edge of the sea - and forms part of the North Norfolk coastal path which begins at nearby Hunstanton. Norfolk Wildlife Trust has a reserve and observatory set behind the dunes. This is a great base for walkers and cyclists as well as anyone wishing to explore the local area and further afield. Needless to say, it's an all year round birdwatcher's paradise. And your dog will LOVE exploring the expanse of all the local dog-friendly beaches.
Additional Information: Two well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge). Pillows and duvets are hypo-allergenic. 7kw type 2 EV charger is available to use at the property (small additional charge). Travel cot and high chair available on request. Please bring your own linen for the travel cot. Please bring your own pods for the Nespresso coffee machine. CCTV cameras cover the front entrance and to the side of the lodge, where LPG gas bottles are stored. Please note: Ongoing building work is taking place on the neighbouring land.

We stay in Holme/Thornham every year and have always had good accommodation. However Willow Lodge is truly outstanding. The south facing private garden was excellent for breakfast, lunch and evening meal out on the decking in the sunshine. Down a quiet lane so close to the nature reserve was an added bonus yet just round the corner from the pub - perfect in every way.

A perfect cottage
A lovely well decorated and furnished cottage with all the facilities you would need. The sunny garden, easy parking, and proximity to the beach were big plus points. Would definitely stay here again.

Home from home
Willow Lodge is just beautiful. We had the perfect long weekend away. All the fixtures and fittings are of a very high standard with everything needed supplied. We took our dog and the garden is very secure. The weather wasn’t good but that meant we could enjoy relaxing in the lodge more. The village pub is literally a 5 minute walk away and does very good traditional pub food with a lovely environment. Only downside of our trip was we couldn’t walk through the marshes to the beach as it had been raining so much and was very muddy. We would highly recommend Willow Lodge and will definitely book again

Perfect Holiday Let
The Lodge must be very new, the fittings and fixtures are of very high standard. The location is perfect, in a lovely village on the edge of marshland leading through to a lovely beach with great walks to Old Hunstanton and Thornham with great pubs along the way, everything you need to enjoy the delights of North Norfolk, highly recommend this holiday let.

a lovely place to stay
this was a very comfortable place to stay and the furnishings are high quality (although I have never seen so many seaside related ornamentation in one place before!). But it's a style choice I guess. We were told there would be a welcome pack by Norfolk Hideaways and in previous properties we have stayed in (during Covid times too) we have enjoyed lovely local produce as a welcome. Absolutely nothing here. Not a massive deal but it is always a nice touch. No visitor book either which was strange. we always like to read it when we arrive to see what other people recommend.
All in all a good place to stay. And Holme next the Sea is a great discovery.

Dear Helen,
Thank you for your feedback following your stay at Willow Lodge, we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Norfolk.
Unfortunately this property doesn't have a welcome pack as standard as per our website and this is up to each owners digression whether they would like to leave one or not so apologies this was not what you expected Helen.
Thank you for letting us know about the guest book, we will get this looked into and we thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We do look forward to welcoming you back to Norfolk again very soon!
Best Wishes

Wonderful stay at Willow Lodge
Willow Lodge is lovely, just as the pictures (perhaps better!). The decor was beautiful (even decorated for xmas which we really appreciated). Spotlessly clean. The location is fantastic, quiet little lane, 10 minutes walk to a beautiful beach. Large, secure back garden and large deck. We look forward to returning.

Lovely little hideaway
Beautiful cabin, very near the sea and the sand dunes nature reserve. Cabin is modern, warm and clean and has all the amenities you could want. It’s very tastefully decorated throughout and there is a lot of room. We stayed for 7 days with our infant son and were very comfortable there. Would highly recommend as a quiet retreat. Only thing to note is that there is no local shop in walking distance but the farm shop 10 mins drive away is excellent.

Autumn Break 2021
We chose Willow Lodge as Holme-next-the-Sea is our favourite Norfolk coast location and we are regulars to the area. This time, 2 sisters and a fox red lab had a lovely Autumn ‘girlie’ holiday :-)
The lodge is open plan, all on one level with a ramp to front door should guests require it. Kitchen well equipped, beds were firm but comfortable, shower in en-suite was amazing! Small utility handy for dog stuff and our coats & wellies. Wooden floors throughout the lodge, ideal.
Plenty of room for parking. Outside tap to the front would be a benefit so boots and dog could be hosed down (parking area is gravelled).
Great sized garden, peaceful with raised decking area including table and chairs. Gated to one side but not totally dog secure on the opposite side adjacent to the public footpath.
All-in-all a very nice holiday home retreat which I would recommend to others albeit a bit too pricey for some.
Many thanks.

Perfect ,quiet hideaway that does what it says on the tin
We were blown away by the 'on -line' images and description - the reality totally lived up to all our expectations.
What a treat. Five star accommodation in a perfect location.
It only took 20 mins to walk to the NWT cafe or 10 mins to watch the sunset over the water at the dunes.
The White Horse ( round the corner) has great food at affordable prices.
We even laid in the sunbeds in hot sunshine, perfectly sheltered in the garden from the 40+ MPH winds...
We had a great week - with nearly empty beaches!
Wonderful.
Thank you.

Family week away visiting friends
The Lodge is in a very convenient position you will need a car to get out to visit all the sights but you can walk to the local pub which serves good food including a small choice for vegans x
The lodge has everything in it for a very comfortable stay and perfect garden enclosed for doggies with lovely walks to the beach x
Unfortunately we had use of only one shower in our en-suite between all of us as the thermostat had broken and no one came to fix it so we couldn’t use a bath or shower in the other two rooms which in the heat we were lucky enough to have on our week proved challenging !! As soon as I got onto Norfolk hideaways a plumber came out sadly too late for us
We ate in the Thornham deli it’s perfect for breakfasts and lunches a really good selection for vegans veggies and meat eaters and doggies
Love the shopping ice cream parlour garden centre also recommend the gin trap and the ship and orange tree to eat out plus twenty9
Love Old Hunstanton beach the observatory is so close plenty for all ages so definitely recommend Willow brook lodge

Fabulous holiday
I have just returned from a week in Holme Next The Sea, staying at Willow Lodge with my wife, two adult children and their partners plus our dog Betsy and thought it an ideal location and top quality accommodation. The lodge is tucked away down a little lane just two minutes walk from the village centre and traditional local pub, The White Horse. It is in a very private and quiet location just a few yards from open fields and a footpath which leads to the beach after a ten minute walk. The beach at Holme is lovely but quite exposed and has no facilities, it is quiet and unspoilt and dog friendly. The Lodge is light airy and spacious with plenty of room for six people, a useful laundry room, good kitchen facilities, comfortable lounge and dining facilities and a pleasant decking area and secluded garden. The website pictures are accurate and the whole place is stylishly decorated and ideal for a family holiday. There are supermarkets five miles away in Hunstanton and a lovely deli and farm shop just up the road at Thornham. Brancaster beach is a ten minute drive, the village pub is good value and for a more gastro experience The Gin Trap at Ringstead, only 3 miles away is excellent.

Lovely week in Norfolk
Willow Lodge was very comfortable and quiet, just along from Holme beach which is absolutely lovely for the family. We normally eat out when on holiday but it had a big garden and a decked terrace with bbq and 4 of the nights we actually ate in preferring to light up the bbq. The only negative point I would have is that the decking needs some attention, some of the planks have lifted and are a trip hazard and 2 of our party managed to get splinters in their feet. Fortunately the children didn’t but it’s annoying to have to constantly tell them to keep their shoes on. That said overall we had a fantastic time and would recommend Willow Lodge.

Relaxing retreat for chill out time with family
What a great little spot . Walkable to the beach and great wildlife spotting in the marshes 2 mins walk away . We spent the week walking from the lodge and ventured out in the car for provisions at the local farm shops . Only ten minutes to Hunstanton for shops , pitch and put , crazy golf etc .
The lodge was really comfortable inside .

Very comfortable and beautfully furnished
We have stayed in many cottages in Norfolk all lovely but Willow Lodge exceeded expectations. We had the most glorious weather and the deck and sun loungers in the garden were a great assett. Whoever furnished the house has a lovely eye and everything was well thought out. The beach is a walk away and it is stunning.
