Wonderful cottage right on the lake. Private sport and fishing lake, Upper Silver Lake. Minutes away from the popular Silver Lake Sand Dunes and Lake Michigan.

Rental of this lovely 4 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage includes full kitchen and patio/fire pit. Enjoy the sunshine on multiple decks overlooking the water or take a swim in the lake. There are 2 queen beds, 1 full size bed & 2 twin beds. Bedding & kitchenware provided. Use of gas grill included. You provide your own bath towels & wash clothes.

Cottage has furnace and central air. There are kayaks available for use. You will need to provide your own life vests.

Perfect place for a family getaway. Peaceful & relaxing. Lots to do and explore in the area. Horseback riding, dune rides, golf, biking & walking trails, shopping, ice cream shops, mini golf, food, beaches, and parks.

Renters may bring along a jet ski, fishing boat or ski boat to use on the lake with advance notice.

Anniversary stay

We celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary here. The cottage was a perfect choice. The interior and decor were stunning, adorned with beautiful nautical colors. It was well-furnished and spacious, ideal for a family. Feedback: We knew that laundry facilities were unavailable, but it would be a nice touch if added. Having only one bathroom may be challenging to manage for a larger group. The location of the grill could be more convenient (closer to kitchen). A hand vacuum or stick vacuum would be nice. The outdoor area was great. We enjoyed it, although it was too windy during our stay to have a fire. We wished the fireplace in the living room had been working. The keyless entry was temperamental (probably user error). A Keurig would be nice. New mattresses are recommended. I would also ensure that the chairs by the dock won't slip through the deck boards while fishing. Unfortunately, one of the chair legs slipped through the cracks, and someone hit the dock and went swimming unexpectedly. It would be nice if one roll of paper towels and two full rolls of toilet paper were supplied upon arrival. When we entered the cottage, we noticed the smell of animals (dogs?). Unfortunately, our allergies affected our stay somewhat. If dogs (or any animal) are regularly in the house, we recommend investing in an air purifier or posting that dogs (or any animal) have been onsite. These are just some suggestions. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this cottage to others.

Great summer get away

Great find on upper silver Lake

We loved our 4 night stay. Very clean and just as advertised. The location is perfect on the channel. We loved the kayaks and all the outdoor space to relax, especially the propane fireplace for chilly evenings. Plenty of parking for my son’s truck and trailer. So close to the dunes , restaurants and mini golf. Owner was very quick to respond and even had property cleaned early and ready for us. Would highly recommend.

Relaxing Family Getaway

We had the best week relaxing with our college aged girls before summer's end! The cottage had many outdoor areas for us to relax and being on the water was fabulous! Communication with the host was great. I would recommend this cute and cozy place to anyone!

The cottage was beautifully decorated. We thought we would be on the lake instead of a channel but it was still beautiful. Great set up outside and this time of year so quiet. Bretta was very responsive. We had a great stay.

Fabulous location !

This beautifully decorated property was very clean, comfortable and a pleasure to stay at . The waterfront location is epic as it is also minutes away from Silver Lake dunes . There is plenty of outdoor seating to relax on . Kayaks are also provided for extra fun! We also loved watching the turtles bask in the sun on the wooden raft in the canal. The host is very friendly and readily available to answer any questions or concerns . We would definitely return to this vacation property in the future!

Family Vacation 2023

This place is beautiful! It was perfect for our family. Location with waterfront was perfect for my grandkids. Spacious and clean. Outdoor seating was amazing - so many options. Owners were great to deal with and very responsive. The only downside I have is the one bathroom. For a larger family - it’s a little challenging! Other than that we would not only stay here again, we would recommend it to anyone else seeking a home away from home for a summer vacation .

Great Stay

Great communication with owner. Proper sized bedrooms with a great family room with kitchen. Easy access to the deck and grill. The only downside was one bathroom. Overall great stay!

Relaxing Weekend

The property is just as explained and shown in the pictures. We booked a long weekend due to a near by wedding and it was perfect for relaxing and exploring Silver Lake Dunes. I would love to stay at this cottage over the summer to enjoy the water.

Oct getaway

It was well suitable for the three of us. Bathroom was small but would not prevent us for staying there again. The views were awesome and very peaceful there. Good restaurants close by. We’re planning on coming back next spring.

Perfect place + location to SLSD

This was the best stay! Close to the dunes, extremely clean + updated, on lake & 4 separate bedrooms without bunks (hard to find). I accidentally forgot a few items and the owner couldn’t have been nicer to grab items and mail them to me ASAP! Highly recommend! We would like to come back in the summer to be able to use lake!

The property was cute and clean. Great place to stay if you’re bring some type of water craft, if you’re looking for a beach this place isn't ideal. Bretta was very responsive and easy to work with. The mattress and pillows could use and update.

Great find near the Sand Dunes

Nice property with a great view located on a lake. Cottage is clean and had all the necessary items you need. Pics of the property are accurate. We visited the area to ride on the nearby sand dunes which are close by. We were here in off season so the town businesses were mostly closed during the week, so local eateries were limited. We enjoyed the area and the dunes! Thanks for a comfortable place to relax.

First time on Upper Silver

This was our first time staying on Upper Silver Lake. This house is on a quiet channel that provides access to the lake, lots of lake wildlife to watch and sun. The house is beautiful with all the amenities a renter could need or want.

Perfect location and relaxing setting

This home is in a great location. The water access was incredible and it is within minutes of numerous activities and restaurants. The host is available whenever needed and the neighbors were all very friendly. My kids loved fishing right off the dock, enjoyed the kayaks and we all enjoyed lounging in the shallow water and swimming in the warm lake.

We have been campers to lake front cottage owners and everything in between. We enjoy our time at the cottage as well as other hobbies. Utah is our favorite state to visit! We enjoy mountain biking, repelling, boating, canyoneering and spending time with friends & family. We welcome you to stay with us and experience this amazing area for yourself. We hope wherever you choose to stay you make memories to last a lifetime.

Why they chose this property

Spacious family cottage for rental. This is a place for a quiet retreat away from the busyness of life, but close enough to downtown if you want to take in the food, shops and activities. Down town as well as the dunes are just a couple minutes away and offer several places to eat, a mini roller coaster, bumper boats, mini golf (2), go carts, zip line and some of the best pizza you've ever had from the Pizza Factory!! We offer a well furnished and decorated space you are sure to love. We have four entertaining spaces that overlook the water, an attached spacious deck, lower covered deck, back deck and a patio down by the water with a firepit. Bring your boat or jet ski, just let us know ahead of time. Swim right off the dock! The lake has a no wake zone, no wake before 11:00 am and after 7:30 pm.

Close to all the hustle and bustle of Silver Lake Sand Dunes but the quiet serene experience of a privately owned lake front property. Great swimming, kayaking, boating, biking/walking trails and golf near by, with night time fires roasting marshmallows all in a fully furnished cottage where all you really need is friends and family to share it with!
