The annex of the house Bacou is ideally located, in the heart of the city center of Carcassonne called the Bastide. Close to the Halles, place of life but also of the market and the beautiful boutiques of the heart of town. Surrounded by paying car parks, the house allows to be at the heart of the life of the Bastide.

Séjour dans un superbe appartement d'acces risqué.

L'appartement est bien équipé et accueillant pour 4 personnes. Mais des détails gâchent le séjour. Lescalier d'accès au 2e étage est de plus en plus étroit en montant. La rampe est lisse et dangereuse.

Spacious, clean, well located apartment. Better comms needed though

Thumbs up for the apartment; spacious and clean, a great set up for our family with 2 young ones. Also a great location, just off the centre; everywhere in walking distance. It could do with more bowls & utensils. However there was no communication about arrival or leaving - it sounded like the emails with instructions just didn't reach us, so a technical issue that needs to be resolved by Vrbo or Host (the company who I think manage the apartment)

Total crap

I would love to say this was a great place but that would be a lie!!! I was never actually able to access the property, I had no Communication with the owner or the management group!!!! When the management group finally did contact me it was to say to contact the owner which I had no contact information for. The street where the place is located dose not have parking like stated. Also if you are not really comfortable with driving small streets do not try to access this property by any other means than walking. The major problem was my father who is 6’2 would not have been able To fit through the door if we would have been given, the entry code. We were forced to find other Accommodations after already having fully paid for this stay. Any of the local hotels are 100% times better than this.

Hervorragende Lage aber schlechte Kommunikation

Wir haben das Apartment gebucht um Carcassonne zu erkunden und die Tour de France zu schauen, die hier halt machte. Das Apartment ist sehr zentral, in einer wenig frequentierten Seitenstraße gelegen und bietet viel Platz für die ganze Familie. Allerdings war es über unseren dreitägigen Aufenthalt sehr heiß in Carcassonne (38C) und die Schlafzimmer, welche sich im oberen Stock befinden, waren auch in der Nacht unbewohnbar. Wir mussten zu dritt auf dem sehr unkonfortablen und dreckigen Schlafsofa schlafen. Auch die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war sehr schwierig. Ich habe Herrn Bacou einige Wochen vor der Anreise insgesamt drei Mails geschrieben, weil die angekündigte Abbuchung der Unterkunftskosten ausgeblieben war. Es erfolgte keine Antwort. Erst nach einem kurzen aber sehr freundlichen Telefonat wurde ich gebeten mein Anliegen per WhatsApp zu senden. Bei der Gelegenheit habe ich auch gleich nach dem Check-In gefragt. Dieser läuft über eine Schlüsselbox mit Code. Den Code haben wir allerdings erst auf erneute Nachfrage um 19:00 Uhr an unserem Anreisetag erhalten!

Highly recommended.

Charming 2-story apartment; spacious, comfortable, and well-situated. My kids and I really enjoyed our stay here. Comfortable beds, kitchen well-stocked, walking distance to castle and train station. Highly recommended. Only challenge was that I didn’t receive any check-in info or instructions on how to reach the host from VRBO. Luckily we found the owner’s phone number on the apt door though and he was immensely helpful.

Une nuit a Carcassonne

De passage en direction de l'Espagne, cet agréable logement nous a permis de passer une nuit paisible et de pouvoir visiter la cité de Carcassonne qui est accessible à environ 25 minutes à pieds, moins de dix minutes en voiture.

Superbe !

J'ai déjà pu apprécier la beauté de Carcassonne, mais avec le charme de cette appartement situé dans la vieille ville le dos aux remparts et à deux pas de la citadelle, cela a été une expérience inoubliable pour ma famille et moi.
