An ideal retreat for a peaceful break in an idyllic setting.
We took advantage of the beautiful grounds and the swimming pool. It is in a good spot to visit Thirsk and York and there was plenty on offer nearby for our granddaughter.

Brilliant one night stay.
Lovely clean fully equipped cottage. Pool, hot tub and sauna were great. The receptionist was very professional, kind and helpful. The whole experience was relaxing, easy to book and value for money.
We only allocated a short stay in Thirsk - our mistake and we’ll return for a longer stay. The accommodation lovely and check in the most organised of any of our stays in the UK.

We always enjoy our visits to Sutton Hall, it is well managed by a friendly and efficient team.
My parents were one of the first owners at Sutton Hall and my wife and I have visited regularly over the years. Our own children have grown up visiting and this year, for the first time, we have been delighted to have our first grandson join us for a few days. Not yet one he thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool and we hope our family connection with Sutton Hall will continue for many years to come.

Very pleased with everything, place looks well cared for.
Nice weather always helps! Location brilliant and pleased to hear there are plans for the pub to reopen but hope it won’t be ultra sophisticated just straightforward fare as before. I know it’s nothing to do with Sutton Hall but would be an advantage in attracting people to stay. We loved being able to relax and sit outside. And impressed by the work gone into the wooded area. Thanks to all the staff.

Another week enjoyed at Sutton Hall
Despite summer turning to autumn, we enjoyed what might well be our last stay at Sutton Hall after over 20 years of membership.
Our only reason for stepping away from membership is the distance we need to travel from home to North Yorkshire.
Despite the autumn temperatures we enjoyed our recent week as much as we have enjoyed staying in all of the previous years.

Nice
Cottage was lovely and beds were comfy. Could maybe do with some modernisation but is fine the way it is!
I would like to comment on what I did not like though - when we arrived the pool was booked by the York Suite between 5pm-6pm, which was fine, first come first serve. We decided to go and have a look around the main building as we maybe plan on coming back and wanted to get a feel for the place. There was NOONE in the pool, system does not work. Annoying.

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in, communication
Short and adequate
Clean but a little tired. Not what I had expected but it served our purpose. We were there less than 12 hours. I had no idea we had to check in by a certain time. We were late and sent the needed info by email. I couldn't fill out the registration form as we arrived after the staff left and left before they arrived and I didn't have a pen. We had no use for the facilities.
No contact from the host before we arrived.
