Standard-Apartment-Private Bathroom
Two storey cottage in the grounds of Sutton Hall compromising of one bedroom (either twin beds or king size bed), a bathroom (with shower over bath), an open plan dining and living space with double sofa bed and a fully equipped kitchen. Semi- private garden to the rear of the cottages accessed via a patio door.
A stunning resort and a beautiful Grade 2 listed 18th century Manor House. Sutton Hall is set in Yorkshire, England’s largest and perhaps most historic county. Sutton Hall has been sympathetically adapted to provide eight apartments, three cottages and three barn conversions. All accommodation is self catering, with a fully fitted kitchen (all crockery, cutlery and glassware is provided) Sutton Hall is set in 24 acres of manicured grounds, with woodland, a meadow (& a lazy river) running through. We also have a small indoor swimming pool, one outdoor hot tub and an infra red sauna. All of these facilities can be booked for up to an hours private use.
We have two tennis courts which are open from April - September.
You will find Sutton Hall Resort in the quaint village of Sutton-Under-Whitestonecliffe on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, boasting heather-clad hills, picturesque villages, rugged scenery and a cosy country inn just a walk away.
Nearby, the Yorkshire Dales offer a wonderful variety of hill and river landscapes. Seaside resorts, fishing villages and rugged coastlines can be found at Scarborough, Bridlington, Robin Hood’s Bay, Ravenscar and Staithes.
Historic cities such as York and spectacular ruins such a Rievaulx Abbey are within easy reach.
Situated close to Sutton Bank on the A170, the top of the bank affords panoramic views of the plain of York Stretching between the Pennines and the Hambleton Hills. There is a large car Park and a comprehensive visitor information centre.
The Historic market town of Thirsk lies 3.5 miles away from the resort. In the town there is a picturesque country racecourse with excellent facilities. Thirsk is also well known as the home of James Herriot (Alf Wight, Obe) the world’s most famous vet.
A stone's throw away is Yorkshire outdoors who offer action-packed activities such as off-road driving, quad bike trekking, clay pigeon shooting and a range of other outdoor pursuits. www.yorkshire-outdoors.com
