The Plough Retreat - Studios
The studios come with en-suite showers, large comfy beds, TV's with Freeview, kitchenettes with a fridge and microwave. Tea and coffee are provided and an iron and ironing board are available on request. We have one double and one twin room.
The Plough Retreat offers a comfortable stay in a convenient village location just outside of Newark On Trent. Within a 5 minute drive you can be at Newark Showground, The National Civil War Centre or Newark Castle. If you’re visiting for a celebration, Kelham Hall and Stubton Hall are just 11 minutes away by car.
The Plough Retreat is an unmanned property and your unique access codes will be sent to you 24 hours in advance of your stay. Rest assured we are just a phone call away for any questions you have.
Our apartments have en-suite shower rooms to freshen up and kitchenettes to rustle something up. We have three types of rooms available, a double room, twin room and two deluxe rooms. The double and twin rooms have their own private shower rooms and kitchenettes and sleep up to two. The deluxe rooms sleep up to three people and have an additional lounge, sofa bed, full kitchen, dining table and chairs.

Brilliant - return customers
Really convenient with parking on site and code operated doors. We've stayed in all the rooms and love the family room (separate bedroom and kitchen) best. Will be back next year for our annual bike trip and stop over.
