We were very happy with our stay here at the Heath Cottage. I picked this VRBO mainly because of it's location to the theaters. We wanted to be able to walk to the theaters. It was a lovely walk along the Avon River. We could walk to the town center in only a few minutes, as well. The house is located on a quite street. It is old but it is nicely updated and well furnished. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was stocked appropriately. The housekeeper was available if we needed anything. One thing to note is the steps up to the second floor. They are narrow and steep, the stair treads are taller than a normal step (by my American standards). By the end of the week, my husband struggled to get up the stairs because his knees were bothering so much from all the walking we did. The hot tub was a great help at the end of the day! The house listed a washer/dryer were available. But only after washing a load of clothes did we learn that the dryer was out of service. Luckily there was a laundrette just a few doors down the street. Make sure you have British coin for the machines. One thing to watch for are the few step downs the house has, one into the kitchen and one into the bathroom. If not paying attention, you may misstep like we did. Lastly, we struggled with turing the shower on despite the written instructions. I first turned the water on at the faucet taps. Here, you don't do that. Turn the shower head levers to turn the water on.
