This is a perfect English cottage. We could walk to the local pubs, tea room and store. All less than a mile. I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone who loves English charm.

The bath towels need to be larger as they are too small. The addition of a non slip mat for the bottom of the bath would make the taking of a shower safer.
Quaint old character cottage conveniently situated in a charming village with great pub & restaurant.
Cottage needs a little extra TLC on some of the fitting and also needs a small table to rest drinks whilst watching tv so as to not need to put on floor or settee where they could be easily knocked over. Also a grab handle to aid access & exit from shower/ bath would be adventageous and safer as there is quite a drop to the floor but will hopefully return next year as thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Thank you

This is a superb little quirky cosy cottage, the uneven floors are to be expected in a property of this age and charachter but adds to the charm. It was Ideally suited for us as a party of two, with all the things you need for a break away. There was a little outside seating area where you could enjoy your morning coffee. It was situated in a leafy quiet lane in Shottery and you can walk to the centre of Stratford along some lanes and through the park to the river. Approx 20 mins. The hosts were very helpful and the neighbours were lovely, even offering to get us anything when we they went to the shops! Thanks... really enjoyed our stay...

We found the cottage wonderfully atmospheric and felt very much at home for our short four night stay. The walk into town took 30-40 minutes which was about what we expected and fortunately we did not get caught in any rain. The cottage was rather cold when we arrived but immediate heat from the fan heaters followed by turning on the night stores soon had the place feeling nice and cosy. We look forward to returning for another visit.

A loverly old terraced thatched cottage. Easy to find with good parking. Some noise through walls from adjacent properties. Very small but comfortable double four poster bed. Nice pub nearby. Corner shop 10 minutes walk. Plenty of dog walking opposite.

Brilliant place.
Brilliant place. The cottage is very old and floors very uneven, but we knew this on booking. Kitchen equipment could do with some basic additions. It’s a great location and so beautiful.

We loved this cottage from the moment we entered the front door, it was warm and welcoming and very clean, the inglenook is just gorgeous.
Yes it has very steep stairs and the bedroom floor very uneven, BUT this is a 500 year old cottage so not sure what people expect and it does say this in the description and yes the bathroom is downstairs but wasn't a problem for us, there was plenty of hot water and the washer/dryer was a big plus.
Yes it's a little dark but plenty of lighting is supplied via numerous lamps and a ceiling light all in all a lovely homely cottage in a lovely area with plenty too do, lovely pub and food quarter of a mile away.
We didn't really want to leave, the only thing being we don't think some former residents have left!! (I will leave that to your own conclusions)
Gill and Peter next door are lovely, very chatty and informative.

A lovely little cottage in a great location.
A lovely little cottage in a great location. It was very well equipped, full of charm and with all the quirky details you would expect from such an old property. I’m fascinated by history and loved imagining how it would have been to live there through the centuries and what the lives of its inhabitants would have been like.
