About this property

The Hayloft

The Hayloft is a pet-friendly, Grade II listed converted stone barn for 2-4 guests in a double and a twin bedroom. It’s ideally suited for all of Cornwall's attractions and is set in the quiet village of Sticker, only a short walk away from the village pub.

The cosy and characterful accommodation is two hundred years old and set across two floors and equipped with all the amenities required for a self-catering stay. There is dedicated high-speed fibre broadband should anybody need to access the internet while staying and for small children a travel cot, high chair, bed guard, and changing mat can be provided.

Walking through the front door, The Hayloft opens up into the characterful, open-plan kitchen/living room. The original wooden doors blend with the contemporary style kitchen and combined with the underfloor heating provide a great location for either short breaks away or longer stays on business trips.

Both bedrooms can be found upstairs along with the good sized family bathroom which provides a shower-over bath.

There is free, off-road parking for one car at The Hayloft and there is additional parking 50 metres away in the village car park for a second. For guests bringing bikes and surfboards etc there is storage space available. The garden is shared with the nextdoor property and provides a lovely place to sit out during the summer months.

The local village shop sells a range of fresh vegetables, bread, pasties and wine and is also a post office. For more services there are several larger Supermarkets and shops less than 10 minutes drive (in St Austell).

Guests are spoiled for choice with many local attractions and beaches well worth a visit. The area is incredibly popular all-year round with Mevagissey, The Roseland and Charlestown all being worth a trip and are less than 15 minutes’ drive. Tourist attractions within equally easy reach include the Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project.

Perfect quiet location to work remotely and to get to all the attractions. Lovely hosts and treated us to a homemade cream tea. We will be back.

Beautiful find

We loved our stay at the Hayloft. Onsite owners Sue & Steve could not have been more helpful and friendly. Our two viszlas loved the cottage as well and were welcomed with open arms, stair gates, treats and dog bowls/ towels provided. The cottage has absolutely everything you could need for a few days away - one of the best well equipped kitchens I've seen in a rental property. Beds are soo comfy and duvets super cuddly. Home made scones with jam and clotted cream along with coffee and milk are a great added touch.

Hayloft, ideal base for that Cornish break!

The hosts are incredibly welcoming & helpful. We found 8 freshly baked scones, a bowl of jam, some clotted cream, plenty of tea, coffee & milk when we arrived which was ace. The main living room & kitchen is spacious, extremely well equipped and modern. The bedrooms are clean, large and welcoming and the whole place felt friendly and comfortable. Totally recommend. well nothing really, except we couldn't find a tea towel .. probably our fault ....
