A beautiful converted Coach House within the grounds of a stunning Grade II Listed West Norfolk thatched 16th Century residence. The Coach House at Old Hall combines the luxury of a hotel with all the comforts of home. We are close to King’s Lynn down a small country ‘No Through’ lane surrounded by farmland. The Coach House provides an open-plan sitting room, kitchen & shower room with a huge first floor bedroom with a superking-sized bed and perfect white linen (with free-standing copper bath and record player with vinyl selection). Farrow and ball used throughout. Netflix, fast internet and cable TV. Roses round the door and ample parking for your car make for a perfect stay.

Dog – friendly stay.

Bringing your dog? You don’t need to pack for your four-legged friend. The Coach House is dog-friendly for up to two dogs, and we provide a doggy welcome pack with cosy bed, blanket, dog bowls for food and water, treats and a toy.

We have stayed at Old Hall Country Breaks many times but every time we stay it just seems to get better and better if that is even possible! There is always something new to experience on the Afternoon Tea Menu and I tried the Thai hot stones massage which was even better than the one I had in Thailand. My birthday flowers 💐 were so pretty - thank you everyone for making our stay so special ❤️

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying with Gil and Phil for a long weekend in January and we had the best time. Upon arrival, Gil was there to greet us with a warm welcome, an open fire, and a glass of bubbles after which we were taken to our accommodation. We stayed in the Coach House and it was stunning, although what really sets Old Hall apart from the rest is their attention to detail. Every element is beautifully executed, and very well considered, we really couldn't fault it.

The location was great, the bath and bed luxurious, the breakfast hamper was really thoughtful and catered to my veganism as well as my partner who eats meat. The vegan milk and butter was so helpful. Maybe a couple of things could be perfected but it was a wonderful stay and Gil was super friendly and accommodating. The animals were gorgeous.

Everything we could have asked for in a short break; the location, accommodation, food, and hosts!

Genuinely we loved everything about the Old Hall. The location is stunning, very quiet and so old english, surrounded by the on-site animals. The accommodation so warm and ‘just like home’ (or better!), so well laid out and designed. We had the food on-site, and loved every last mouthful, especially the afternoon tea. And finally our hosts (Gil and Phil) were like long lost friends, great company and so helpful and attentive. We have immediately booked to come again!

Old Hall is a Tudor manor house, built in 1553 and its character reflects its great age. The walls are thick, the beams are even older than the house (they came from sailing ships) and the place oozes charm and history.

Gil and Philip are very thoughtful hosts who give exceptional time and attention to their home and to meeting the needs of their guests. From sourcing and booking restaurants and trips, planning beach huts, picnics or afternoon tea for guests, or setting up games in the garden. Nothing is too much trouble for your hosts.

We like to ensure that our guests fully participate (if they want to) in the Old Hall experience by giving treats to the donkeys, collecting eggs from the hens, cycling (bikes provided) round the quiet country lanes or lazing in a hammock listening to the donkeys munch away at their pasture.
