About this property
Ty-Gwyn Cottage - Retreat Group
Ty-Gwyn is superbly located in the tranquil area of Capeluchaf, an area of outstanding natural beauty nestled on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park.
The stone-built cottage has been lovingly restored to provide cosy accommodation for up to seven people. Featuring three bedrooms (1 King, 1 Double and 3 Singles) makes Ty Gwyn the perfect location for couples and families alike looking to escape and explore the beautiful surroundings on offer. [Note the 3 singles are a bedroom located off the main king bedroom]
The equipped kitchen features solid worktops, cooker and hob, fridge / freezer, washing machine and microwave. The kitchen window provides great views of the many acres of farmland.
The lounge and dining area feature comfy sofa seating, log burning stove (logs NOT provided), TV and Stereo / Bluetooth speaker. The adjoining dining area features a large table and chairs creating a communal setting between the lounge and dining area.
The family bathroom with shower and separate bath is also on the ground floor. A separate WC is located next to the porch.
Outside is a large unfenced open garden with idyllic views over the Valley, on a clear day you can also make out Glyder Fawr, the highest peak in the Glyderau range. If you are feeling energetic, why not try this strenuous walk & scramble to its rocky 1,001m summit!
At the rear of the property you will find access to our 20 acres of farmland that can be explored by the adventurous (long grass....and its Wales so bring waterproofs!) and is a great place to spot many species of wildlife.
Please note the driveway from the road and up to Ty-Gwyn itself is very narrow and unsuitable for wide vehicles. For cyclists using a road bike, the track leading to the property would be unsuitable for a road bike straight from the house due to the uneven ground. Road bike cyclists would need to drive down to the bottom of the road to then offload bikes. Mountain bikes would be fine to set off straight from the property.
