King's Cross - the perfect central venue for exploring London and beyond!
My apartment offers a great opportunity to spend time in Central London in a quiet, secure environment . It is situated just over the road from the Regent's Canal, a 10 minute walk to the very fashionable Upper Street Islington (Angel tube) and the same distance in the other direction to St Pancras International and King's Cross cultural hub, underground and mainline rail links. My 'maisonette'/duplex flat is clean, well-kept, well-furnished and newly re-decorated with a stylish well-equipped kitchen. It has ground floor access and stairs to the two bedrooms on the first floor and bathroom. There is an additional WC on the ground floor. My small private garden is at the rear of the property, with a dining table, chairs and parasol ideal for al fresco dining and relaxing when the weather permits! It is situated on a very well-maintained estate of 4 storey blocks of flats and 'maisonettes' /duplex apartments, with a security entrance, open spaces, gardens and a baseball/football area. The British Library, Camden, Regent's Park, the British Museum and shopping areas are within walking distance. The local area is buzzing with bars and restaurants, cinemas and King's Place cultural centre by the side of the canal. Granary Square behind King's Cross/St Pancras stations is a fascinating, newly restored area that was was once a major part of Britain's industrial past. Now it is a vibrant, 'chill-out' area with bars, restaurants and shops - all in transformed Victorian industrial warehouses. The London Canal Museum is close by. All of this is just a few minutes' walk along the lovely canal tow path from my apartment. I love my home and would like others to enjoy it too as well as all the wonderful sites and experiences London has to offer. I just would like to ask guests to treat the apartment with care and respect the fact that it is my home and I only rent it out when I am away travelling. Thank you

Great spot for a London vacation. 15-minute walk to King's Cross/St. Pancras, great little grocery shop a few minutes from the flat.
Clean, neat flat with all the amenities we needed, Shirley is a great host. 5/5 would stay there again!
Perfect location for exploring London and for easily getting from Heathrow and to Eurostar. Our hostess was so helpful and made everything so easy. Thank you!
Nice townhouse style flat in a good location near transportation, grocery stores and restaurants. Some issues with noise from neighbors, but for a Central London location, overall a quiet and tranquil stay

Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying here for our trip to England. The location is fantastic for easily accessing all modes of transport in and around London. Lovely, bright flat with a nice garden patio. It was well equipped and a great size for two couples or a family. The location was very convenient, just ten minutes walk from King’s Cross tube and train station. Shirley was very responsive to all our questions and was very helpful. I highly recommend this stay.

Safe, cozy, convenient place to stay. Functional landing pad for 4 to rejuvenate after long days all over London. Located between two Underground stops, it was fun to explore the neighborhood surroundings!
We stayed for a couple of nights at this lovely apartment. Being near the canal meant great walks and morning jogs. Good restaurants close by as well. The apartment is well fitted as it is her home, so we had everything we could want for our stay. We love the little garden for sitting in the evening. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay in Islington. It was a convenient location for Kings Cross and the British Museum. We used the canal path whenever possible. Best of all we slept well because the neighborhood was quiet and private. The home is lovely and well equipped.

Our family stayed here for 5 days while exploring London. Great location close to Kings Cross. Host allowed us to drop off our bags early, which was much appreciated after our long flight from the US. Loved the 1.5 bathrooms and there was always hot water. The mattress was a bit hard for my taste, but the price and location made up for it.
Wonderful quiet appartment with lots of space for 4 persons. You're at Kings Cross and its great connections in 10 minutes walking. Has all the things one may need for cooking or relaxing. We liked it very much!

Shirley’s home was exactly what we needed. Very clean, lots of space, adequate privacy for three teenagers, no location wise was ideal as most of what we were doing operated out of King’s Cross — both in coming and going on the Chunnel, and using the Metro. The place is steps away from the Regent Canal, or you can meander through he neighborhoods to the Kings Cross area. The Angel area is about a 10 minute walk that has every conceivable restaurant and grocery store.

Shirley’s place is gorgeous and homely. Kitchen is amazing and fun to cook in. Both beds super comfy and so great to have two toilets. Always hot water and central heating kept us toasty warm. Preferred using the Angel tube station as closer and not as busy as Kings Cross!! Def recommend for family with primary school kids so you have somewhere cosy to come home to after sightseeing all day.

The property is within walking distance of Kings Cross rail/underground station. Numerous restaurants are nearby, as is a grocery. The stay was very quiet, a relief for us. Two bedrooms are offered along with a sleeping pad for downstairs. Our only issue: shower temperature. We could work the shower, but we could not achieve a temperature that was not too hot.

Beautyful appartment
We had a very nice stay in Shirleys Flat: well equipped (we could even use spices and coffee - thanks for that), enough place for us (4 persons), close to Kings Cross (10 minutes walk along Regents Canal), nice surroundings, quiet neighbourhoood.
In case of returning to Londond we would like to come again.
Nice contact to Annie and her husband, making it possible to arrive around noon and leaving the luggage until 4p.m. - no new guests this day :-)

My daughter, my teenage grand-daughter and I had a great time in London. Shirley's property was the perfect place to come back to every evening, calm, clean, very nicely decorated. It's like a little house with a small garden. The location is perfect at walking distance from St Pancras. A bus direct to London tower.
A very nice walk along the canal all the way to Camden market.
Shirley had given all the necessary instructions, thank you for having us, it was like being at home.

Ideal Location for a Great London Visit
My husband, sister and I stayed at Shirley's apartment for a week. It was in a very quiet neighborhood yet only a few blocks from High Street with its shops, pubs, and ice cream (of course). Kings Cross / St. Pancras Stations are close by via a beautiful walk along part of the Regents Canal. The Tube and main city bus routes located nearby, gave us access to wherever we wished to travel in the city.
Shirley greeted us herself to give a brief albeit thorough survey of the apartment, garden patio, and kitchen. The apartment was exactly as indicated in the site description. It was clean, well maintained, and appointed. It fit our need for a pleasant retreat from a hectic day of sight-seeing. We look forward to returning to visit London someday and would be very happy to stay here again.

We had lovely time exploring London and the greater region with perfect transportation connections. It was a 15 minute pleasant walk to St Pancras, a little less to Kings Cross, which gave us access to everything we wanted including a day trip to Paris. There were even closer connections to the great bus network . 5 minute walk to local pubs, a little more to grocery stores. It took us a moment or two to find the front door the first time (as it did for a couple of food deliverers) but that was a minor thing. The place itself was spotless, with a very well appointed kitchen and plenty of room. The upstairs two bedrooms were comfortable for four of us, given normal European full/double beds. The host was wonderful with guidance and a nice book of recommendations left behind. And above and beyond: we left a couple of clothing items behind that she kindly figured out how to get back to us. We would return.
This is a really comfortable place with a nice amount of space and a lovely garden area in the back. With our family of 5, the teenagers all slept in one room with a double bed and 2 foam mattresses, while my husband and I slept on the double bed (queen? It fit us both fine) in the front room with the most comfortable mattress! Shirley gave us all the information we could possibly need and made space for all of our stuff. She communicated quickly and was kind enough to let us drop off our bags early while the cleaners were still there. There is wonderful water pressure in the shower, although there is a lot of water noise in the walls when anyone is running water. The children's play area is right outside the flat, so that noise is another thing to be aware of. That could be nice if you also have small kids with you! Walking to the flat with our (carry-on) luggage from St. Pancras wasn't too far. The canal walk area is very neat and would be really nice on a cooler day! I wish we were able to explore more. Getting around London from Kings Cross was easy once we figured it out. I wouldn't hesistate to recommend Shirley's home.

Die Schlüsselübergabe verlief unkompliziert über einen Schlüsseltresor, sowohl bei Ankunft als auch bei der Abreise. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und gemütlich – ein perfekter Rückzugsort inmitten der pulsierenden Stadt. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können diese Unterkunft wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

Wohnung liegt in einer ruhigen Straße und ist gut geeignet, um sich vor dem nächsten "Hineinstürzen in den Trubel der Stadt" zu erholen. Kurze Wege zu U-Bahn, Zug und Restaurants.
