About the host

Hosted by Tim and Lucy

Host profile image
We are Tim and Lucy and we live on the stunning Suffolk Heritage Coast with our son Jack and our daughter Emily. We have been successfully letting our cottages: Arwen cottage in Aldeburgh, Thimble cottage in Southwold, Albion House and Stable cottage in Saxmundham via our companies Aldeburgh Seaside Cottages and Southwold Seaside Cottages. Our properties are self-catering and advertise on VrBo. We are thrilled to have met such interesting people and received such lovely feedback for it.

Tim was born and bred in beautiful Suffolk and I was born in Lima-Peru and brought up in Milan-Italy. I speak Spanish, Italian, French, German and English. As my husband’s family is from Suffolk we have strong ties with this beautiful part of the world. Having travelled extensively we have been inspired by the good things we have come across in properties we have stayed in. As you can tell, we are passionate about providing somewhere special that our guests will love, enjoy and return to.

We feel incredibly lucky to be able to live in this part of the world and are loving sharing our cottages with some amazing people from the VrBo community. If we had a motto to live by it would have to be Maya Angelou's: “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humour and some style...”
