About this property
Beautifully renovated two bedroom cottage in the heart of the Dyfi Valley
Bwthyn Gweilch is situated in the historic market town of Machynlleth, in the heart of the Dyfi Valley, bordering the Snowdonia National Park and Cambrian Mountains. The cottage is minutes from the town where you will find shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Situated in just one of 6 UK UNESCO Biospheres, this area has much to explore. Amazing beaches, the Dyfi Osprey Project and Cadair Idris are a short drive away. If you enjoy walking, biking or relaxing then this area is a must!
Bwthyn Gweilch, translated into English means Osprey Cottage is located on a quiet terraced street with on street parking. Recently renovated with central heating, Bwthyn Gweilch is a cosy two bedroom cottage, complete with original beams. It has light, bright, airy rooms with a homely feel. As you enter the property you immediately find yourself in the living space where you will find two sofas and TV/DVD with freeview and access to Wifi. The shower room, also situated on the ground floor, comprises walk in shower, basin and toilet. To the back of the property is the kitchen with kettle, toaster, built in oven, hob, washing machine, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The dining area within the kitchen comprises a circular table and 4 chairs. The Velux window, large windows and double doors give the kitchen/dining room a lovely spacious feel. There is a cosy two tiered outdoor area. There is a dining area directly outside the back of the cottage, some of which is undercover. Stone steps lead up to the terrace a great place to enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine.
There are two bedrooms on the first floor. The front bedroom with double bed with integral storage and separate wardrobe. From this room you get a glimpse of the beautiful Dyfi Valley. The second bedroom with a bunkbed and 'tallboy'. A travel cot can be provided, on request.
We allow one well behaved dog. No dogs allowed upstairs or on the furniture.
Please get in touch if you are planning on bringing bikes as we do not allow them in the property. I can arrange storage, which will be an extra charge direct to the storage facility.
