We stayed in Port Eynon Beach Cottage over the new year period and had a great time, the cottage was lovely and Debbie the host couldn't have been more helpful, we hope to return!
Perfect location for our family with baby and dog, close to beach and coastal walks. The cottage is well appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Plenty of room for us all with large rooms downstairs and garden area for family games and early evening drinks. Also dog safe. Would recommend it for a family holiday.

Many Thanks for your lovely review. It was a pleasure to have you stay with us and you are welcome to visit again any time.

Very enjoyable holiday. Lovely location and well equipped comfortable cottage and spotlessly clean. Debbie the host was very helpful and very approachable. However, as we were a group of 5 adults requiring 4 bedrooms, the bedroom with 2 singles beds wasn’t really suitable for an adult. It was obviously meant for children. I also felt the mattress in the main en suite bedroom needed replacing.

Hi Janet,
Thank you for your positive review - I hope we get to see you again in the future.
Thank you also for the helpful comments. When you list the number of beds you only have a choice of selecting single. However, I have now amended the property description to show that the twin room has two smaller singles.
With regards to the mattress in the the main bedroom - all our beds and mattresses across the two properties were replaced with new in January 2022 - same brand, however both the mattresses on the king beds have not performed as the remainder and we are in discussions with the manufacturer to have them replaced - it's such a shame as they are not that old and we expect them to last much longer.
You were super lucky with the weather during your stay and I hope you had a safe journey home.

I am so impressed with firstly the hosts of ivy cottage for keeping us up to date and being accessible and approachable throughout the renting of the cottage right through until we checked in.
The cottage is very spacious and had plenty of room for 8 adults. It is beautifully decorated and has everything that you could possible want. The location is brilliant with The ship Inn opposite (really good food and beer)and the beach is literally a stones throw away.It is perfect for dogs as there are lots of walks from the door step and of course the sea!!Our Labrador couldn’t get enough of stick throwing in the waves.it is a beautiful part of the world and wonderful to escape to a peaceful place.
I was impressed with everything the cottage offered and we would like to go back as a family again soon

Hi Sharon, Thanks for such a wonderful review and we hope to see you again with the rest of the family soon. Deb
Comfortable and well-equipped property near the sea.
Very clean, spacious and comfortable. Lack of mobile signal in Port Eynon for most networks was an inconvenience. The wifi router is in an adjoining property
which caused problems which the host did her best to resolve. The garden is not contiguous with the property. Nevertheless we had a very enjoyable week.
A great place to stay right next to the beach with very helpful hosts.

About the host
Hosted by Debbie John
One of us is originally from the Gower and the other is a convert! We enjoy being able to offer fantastic accommodation for others to explore everything this great place has to offer.
Why they chose this property
The Gower Peninsular has something for everyone all year round and that diversity is packed into a relatively small - and sparsely populated - area. This makes everything accessible without long car journeys and often there's no need for the car at all once you arrive at the accommodation we offer.
What makes this property unique
A family-run holiday cottage with everything we believe is essential for the best possible break that is (you will see) just a couple of minutes’ walk from the beach.
It is maintained and presented to a standard that we are delighted to see generate repeat visits.
