The flat and the neighbourhood both surpassed our expectations! Both were absolutely lovely! The communication with the host and checkin were both wonderful too!
Responsive, prompt, helpful - great management of this property, a pleasure! The neighborhood is one of my favorites and has a fabulous farmers market on Sunday. It and was extremely quiet - except for a sweet late-night encounter with a fox on the street below my window (they have an eerie cry that almost sounds human).
The apartment was great for a visit to Edinburgh. We were a bit conscious of the neighbours on the floor below, with two young children but didn’t cause any issues. Location was about 20 min walk from the city center but was only about 8 in a taxi.
We had a great stay. The neighborhood is great, loved walking to the botanic garden in the morning and there was good coffee + pastries nearby. I would recommend for families!
We stayed here with our family for a week while exploring Edinburgh and environs. It was a prefect home base to rest our tired legs after a day of adventures!
We had a most enjoyable and peaceful stay at the lovely flat. We adored hanging out in the enormous kitchen. It was really easy to explore and drop in and out of the flat during the day.
Fabulous location, within easy walking distance to the New Town, Old Town, Botanic Gardens, and the beautiful Stockbridge.
The flat is very comfortable for a small family with everything you need for a short stay. Would have loved to have stayed longer.
Roomy apartment in a great location, handy for stockbridge walks and 20 mins walk to the old town. The
apartment is in need of some TLC,
some parts looking a little sad.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying in the apartment. It is updated and nicely furnished. The location was perfect as it is about a mile to the historic sites, but also provides a respite from the crowds since it is located in a nice residential area. Excellent restaurants and shops within 1/2 mile. It is walkable, and Uber/taxis are available for reasonable fees. Notes to consider - the flat is on the second floor (if have mobility issues); building is older (as is every building in the area), so apartment shows some age even though well maintained (for some that makes it more charming, others used to modernized hotels, etc. may not prefer).
I used to live in the area and now live in Australia, so was looking for somewhere to stay whilst visiting friends and family. We felt right at home and loved being back in the heart of Stockbridge.
A lovely peaceful street, and as a swimmer I loved having Glenogle pool 20 steps from the front door. Everything you need is within a short walk - shops, pubs, restaurants, the Botanics, buses.
Can’t wait to come back again next year. Didn’t want to leave!
We adored the flat and location. The apartment does need a little TLC. The shower leaked on to the floor no matter what we tried and looks like it has been for some time. We could not open the kitchen window, and the laundry closet was very dirty. Apart from that, we would absolutely stay again!
