JC's Lodge offers quiet relaxation in a rural setting yet is less than 15 miles from Penn State University, Bald Eagle State Park, Black Moshannon State Park, and the exceptional trout fishery of Spring Creek. Located at 355 Bush Hollow Rd - less than 1 mile off US 220 Alt in Julian - JC's Lodge includes a full kitchen, 2 full baths, 1 downstairs bedroom that sleeps 2 and an upstairs loft that sleeps 4. Interior walls are a warm knotty pine with plenty of windows to take in the view. Forced hot air heat and A/C makes time spent indoors very comfy. The property also has cable TV, wireless internet, and a strong cell signal (Verizon). You can enjoy a stroll around the property's 55 acres of open field, woods, and small stream. This was a great property with good proximity to Penn State for a football weekend. Water was odorous as warned so we brought our own and the beds were slightly firmer than we are used to. Otherwise this was a great setup for family to gather!

Penn State Weekend

Great place - getaway for a PSU weekend!

Perfect cabin location, close enough to be near PSU but far enough to not be caught up in the craziness. House is clean, comfortable and perfect for a family and friends weekend!

Beautiful cabin the middle of the woods. Such a pretty spot. Cabin is really nice inside, beds were great, large and stacked kitchen. Perfect spot to be near Penn State!

Penn State Football weekend

Perfect place to call home base for a football weekend at Penn State. Beautiful property and a clean and comfortable cabin. Booking, checkin and checkout all easy and Jim was immediately responsive to any communication. Will definitely stay here again.

Loved JC’s Lodge!

The AFrame style log cabin’s location is convenient to University Park, yet removed from the crowds. Great layout to hang with the family inside and out, with beautiful views. Wonderful, detailed communication from the host. First experience with well water and stay ouside of campus, but we brought bottled water and there was also a brita water pitcher. We would love to return to this location for our next visit if available.

Great Hideaway

We stayed for a wedding and it was in a perfect location! The place was beautiful/clean inside and out. We did listen to previous reviews and recommendations from the host on the well water and to bring your own. It worked out perfectly! Definitely will stay again!

Perfect getaway

This 2 BR, 2 BA cabin is clean, quiet, spacious, and private. Plenty of room for 2 of us but could easily fit more. Less than 20 minutes’ drive to Penn State’s campus, making it the perfect blend of convenient yet private. The only issue—mentioned in other reviews—is the slight sulfur smell in the water (sink and shower). Other than that, this place is a gem!

This is a wonderful house on a beautiful piece of property. 15 minutes from Penn State. Great layout for a crowd. Remember to bring you own sheets and bath towels.

Weekend getaway

We enjoyed our weekend stay at this nice and cozy cabin. Great porch to relax on, comfy beds. Water was definitely a little smelly, but based on other reviews we took our own water. The upstairs bedroom closet had quite a bit of mouse poop in it, but I’m sure we were one of the first families to visit this year. It’s very close to Penn State and Bellefonte, which was nice since we went to both. Overall, we would stay here again.
