Great location with stunning views. The house was comfortable and the host welcoming and responsive. The weather this winter was the worst in 30 years but we were cosy in the house. Will hopefully return…

We do hope to see you again, Elaine. You were incredibly sweet guests. Thanks for everything.
We had an incredible stay at the villa — several days of lounging around the pool and cooking BBQ and tapas combined with a day trip to Malaga and walks up to the town for dinner & drinks. The views are incredible and the villa was perfect for our group of four.

Dear Robert,
Thank you very much for your review. It was a pleasure hosting you. You were lovely guests. We hope to see you again.
This property is just so magical it has to be seen to be believed! The pool area is perfect for a chill day topped off with a BBQ. It's perfect to come back to after a day at the beach or exploring nearby Comares. Paul and the team were nothing but amazing and helpful leading up to and throughout our stay. I cannot rate highly enough and I sincerely hope I can return here. Perfecci9õ

Dear Ben, thank you so much for your nice review. We want to thank you for being such lovely guests and we would just love to host you again.
From finding Casa Las Brisas on VRBO, to making the arrangements with the very helpful owner, Paul, it was so easy.
The house is high up above Velez-Malaga and Torre del Mar, with a superb view of the Mediterranean. On the edge of the beautiful village of Comares, we were a 30 minute drive from the beach.
When we arrived, we were met by the charming and helpful Susana, the cery efficient key-holder who showed us the house and was on hand via WhatsApp to help with any questions.
We really enjoyed the 80 days we spent here and got a fabulous tan by the pool. Being a keen cook, I really appreciated the kitchen, well equippedwith a gas hob, electric oven, coffee machine and a citrus juicer. Cool evenings were made cosy with a wood burning fireplace.
Electricity was a metered extra, paid in cash monthly via Susana.
Without doubt, this was a great find!
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Casa Las Brisas.
Communication with Paul prior to our holiday was excellent and on arrival we were met by Vi who was absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. Both Vi and Susana were on hand via WhatsApp throughout our stay should we need anything.
The villa was just as described and everything you needed was provided.
The area is stunning and the view from the villa was utterly magnificent.
Although the villa is fairly remote it felt very safe, lots of locks and bolts on all the entrances!
Depending on how you want to spend your time on holiday would determine whether or not you hire a car. We were just looking for a nice, lazy, laid back relaxing time at the villa and the immediate vicinity, we didn’t want to go sight seeing therefore we didn’t hire a car on this occasion. We walked into the beautiful little village of Comares several times. Be warned (as we were by Paul), it is a very steep walk up to the village and took us about 25-30 minutes (walking quite leisurely). It is worth it though. The views are spectacular. There are two restaurants/bars about halfway up and another three in the village along with a small supermarket (perfectly adequate and the wine was inexpensive!!) and a chemist (which we didn’t need to visit thankfully!) There is also a taxi office in the village and in fact, Paul/Vi/Susana arranged for us to be met at the airport and taken by taxi to the villa and then back to the airport again

Dear Jill,
Thank you for your review. You were incredible lovely guests, and we hope to see you again. Warm regards from all of us.

The villa and pool were both beautiful and the peace and quiet was fantastic. We made good use of the BBQ and had some lovely nights admiring the amazing views down to the coast. The village was beautiful but it was a little bit short of options for dining out. We stayed for a month and there were really only two choices of places to eat. The one good point was that the El Molino restaurant just outside the village did beautiful food and Will and his mum and dad were so friendly and attentive. The main drawback on this holiday was how high up in the mountains Comares is !! We didn’t realise that before we went. Everywhere is a long and sometimes difficult drive away, especially the beaches. However the main highlight of being so high up is that the views from almost everywhere are spectacular. This is the first time that we have done this type of holiday and I have to say we thoroughly enjoyed it and would have no hesitation in doing it again.

Thank you Noel. We are glad you enjoyed your holiday.
Of course Comares is a small village but I am afraid you must have missed out on a few restaurants because in the village it has 5 bars/restaurants and then there are 2 more in the hamlet of Ventorros, the Molino were you went and another one.
Indeed the advantage of staying in the mountains are the spectacular views but should you ever come again, please let us explain to you the correct way to go to the coast because if you take that way, it is only 30km and the road is very good just a bit curvy. We hope to see you again one day because you were truly lovely guests. Thank you for leaving the house so clean.
Thank you very much Tessa, for your lovely approval. We hope to see you again.
About the host
Hosted by Paul
Hi, we are Paul and Lis. We fell in love with Casa Las Brisas the moment we saw it, so we decided that it would be our beautiful forever home. But you know how lifes goes. Changes happen. Work conditions made it necessary for us to move to Malaga and so it became our weekend house. We found it sad that such a lovely villa in an amazing spot only served to spend some weekends. Casa Las Brisas deserves more, for instance, offering an unforgettable vacation to our lovely guests.
