About this property

Clifftop Cottage - A Seaside Sanctuary

Tucked away in the historic clifftop village of Auchmithie, just a short drive from Arbroath, Clifftop Cottage is a beautiful two-bedroom retreat brimming with character and contemporary comfort.

Set just 30 metres from the steps leading down to the beach and with dramatic coastal paths right on your doorstep, this former fisherman’s cottage enjoys a spectacular setting. Perched near the cliff’s edge, the very best sea views are found just outside the front door.

Inside, the accommodation is conveniently laid out on a single level, with the highlight being the impressive open-plan living area and kitchen. The space boasts a semi-vaulted ceiling reaching full roof height, adorned with exposed beams and two expansive VELUX windows, ensuring ample natural light even on overcast days.

A freestanding wood-burning stove adds warmth and ambiance, while a generously sized dining table beneath one of the roof windows offers a delightful setting for meals. For entertainment, a high-end Samsung Frame TV adorns the wall.

The cottage features two bedrooms - one double and one twin - both offering partial sea views over neighboring rooftops. The shower room is equipped with a walk-in enclosure featuring a rainfall shower head, ideal for rinsing off after beach adventures, with underfloor heating providing comfort during colder months.

Inside, everything is thoughtfully laid out across a single level. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for relaxed cooking, and the spacious dining area - set beneath a skylight - is the perfect spot for long, leisurely meals.

The cottage sleeps four guests across two inviting bedrooms: one double and one twin, both offering glimpses of the sea over the rooftops. The sleek shower room features a walk-in rainfall shower and underfloor heating, ideal for warming up after windswept walks on the beach.

Clifftop Cottage is dog-friendly and welcomes well-behaved four-legged guests, with bowls provided. Clifftop Retreat

Could easily charge much more for the 2 days that we stayed here. Needs a wee bit of money spent on it though Front door had a large weed to the right of the door and key box needs replaced or repainted. Some windows had blinds and shutters were badly fitted with no handles. Living room/kitchen needed a few pictures and a fancy splash back at cooker.Bathroom needs toilet pan secured to the floor better and a mirror. Bedrooms need clothes hangers A small breakfast pack and maybe a bowl of fruit and a few bottles of water, would add a wee bit extra to the whole experience. I have to remember that the cottage does hold 4 people, but feel that they could easily achieve much more with a few pounds spent

Lovely cottage in beautiful location.

The cottage is very well equipped. It is spacious with everything you need supplied e.g. kitchen roll, dishwasher tablets. The surrounding area is stunning and the coastal walk was beautiful. There is no outside space or view from the cottage however.

Great stay. Clean and tidy. Needs a cosy touch and suggestions have been shared. Few snagging issues with the letting agency but they did communicate promptly with any issue.
