Perfect Family Getaway - Tahoe Donner Cabin - dogs ok!

Your home away from home awaits you in the Tahoe Donner community in Truckee. Our cozy cabin offers three bedrooms and a loft with queen foldout. The upstairs main bedroom has a king bed with attached full bathroom (shower). There are two bedrooms downstairs, one with queen bed and the other with one twin and a twin/over double bunk bed, and a 2nd full bathroom (shower over tub) down the hall. Washer/dryer and linens included. The house features a well-equipped kitchen, secluded back deck with gas BBQ, and an attached garage with a 240v EV charging plug (bring your charging cord). The living room has a wood burning stove and flat-screen smart tv. Upstairs there is a smart tv in the king bedroom and a monitor screen in the loft. That one is not attached to cable, but can be connected to a laptop or game console. HDMI cable attached. A flat driveway and strong WiFi internet complete the easy living atmosphere. The rental includes guest access (up to 6 people) to the community centers, pool, hot tub, clubhouse and fitness areas for a $24 daily fee. Golf or hike in summer or try boating on the lakes. Enjoy downhill and cross country ski areas in winter. 5 mins from Donner Lake, 20 mins from Alpine and Palisades ski areas, 40 mins from Lake Tahoe activities. Pets allowed, but due to allergies please no cats.

Wonderful and relaxing cabin

We had such a wonderful stay at John and Lisa ‘s cabin. The cabin is so cozy, such a roomy space with comfortable and clean couches, fully equipped kitchen with everything you need, updated bathrooms, comfy beds, and a great back deck for relaxing. The cabin is perfectly situated on a quiet street. Lisa and John are wonderful hosts and answered all our questions in a timely manner. We can’t wait to stay again..

Awesome for a family weekend!

We had 7 adults and 3 kids and everyone fit very comfortably! Plenty of blankets, towels, cleaning supplies, dishes etc! Very cozy home and perfect for a weekend getaway in Tahoe!

Great Tahoe cabin

We had a great stay for a family ski trip. Close to lots of resorts, groceries and historic Truckee. Communication with the owners, check in, and check out were all smooth and easy.

Great Cabin

We really enjoyed our ~2 week stay at this cabin. It is exactly as described and was exactly what we were looking for. We were doing some remote work (the internet supported video conferencing well) as well as enjoying the amenities. In particular we enjoyed the back deck for meals and relaxing. Would stay here again!

Labor Day Weekend Stay

Stayed at John and Lisa's cabin with some close friends and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, the weather was not great but we were still able to do some hiking and go out to the lake. The cabin had enough space for our group and were very comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

Great family vacation

The home was comfortable and spacious, in a quiet peaceful location. The owners communicated well and were responsive to any messages. Only negative aspect were some inconsiderate and intrusive neighbors but no fault of the property owners.

Nice Tahoe Cabin

The cabin was as described. It was perfect for our family and we enjoyed building puzzles and playing games at the table after skiing. The location was nice as the exit onto the street is flat and easy to negotiate in the snow. We were informed of maintenance issues and we were able to work around these without any problem. The value is great and I hope you enjoy your stay!

Wonderful stay near Donner Lake

This has been a wonderful stay. 4-5 miles from Donner Lake, quiet neighborhood. The house was neat and clean, very spacious including all necessary utilities. The kitchen was reasonably stocked. The hosts were very fast in communications. We did not face any issue! It was very smooth and we would love to stay here again..

Christmas in the snow...

First let me say Lisa the host was amazing and very easy to communicate with. She responded to all messages in a timely manner and always tried to offer solutions. Examples of this is the first day we got there the door leading from the garage to the house would not close. Possibly due to the cold and/or heat the door warped and also needed new screws in the bottom hinge. I let her know, sent her pictures and she advised someone would be there in 2 days. As for cleanliness I assume they use a cleaning service and if so I would use a different company because they are not cleaning thoroughly to say this is a space where people will be coming and going frequently. On the surface the house appeared clean but areas like the kitchen and specifically the refrigerator and the stove needed a detailed cleaning. The refrigerator made this very loud noise all the time, especially the freezer and the stove eyes were all crooked making it hard to cook things evenly as all pots and pans were on a slant. The upstairs bathroom sink drained so slow that if you washed your hands in the morning the water would still be there by noon. There were not a lot of face towels either. I had to go buy a few as it was 6 of us and they only had about 3 or so that we saw. The recycling is on a week on week off schedule which I had to visit a website to determine and it was not our week so the recycling bin was already full when we got there so we had to leave a bag of recycling in the garage as it would

Perfect Family Getaway Cabin

Was looking for a family accommodating place in Tahoe Donner. It was the perfect place for grandma, spouse, and three kids with dogs. Could not have asked for anything more. The place is in great location and family friendly. I hope to be able to stay there again for a future trip.

Unbeatable location, fantastic hosts, a great value!

This adorable place is on one of the quietest streets in Tahoe Donner. The cabin is cozy, comfortable, and had all the basic necessities to stay 5 days with weather varying from below freezing (LOTS of snow still on the ground!) to almost shorts weather. Hosts were fast with communication, check in was a breeze... a definite keeper for future stays!

Cozy cabin

We stayed here for the Thanksgiving holiday. It was cozy and perfect size for four adults, 2 kids (a teenager and pre-teen) and our dog. Great location and would recommend especially if traveling with a pet.
