A lovely bolthole for two within the picturesque village of Ambleside, only 1 mile from Lake Windermere and on the doorstep of some fabulous walks.. Ground Floor:
9 steps to entrance.
Living room: With gas wood burner, 22" Freeview TV, DVD player and tiled floor.
Dining room: With tiled floor.
Kitchen: Farmhouse style with electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer and tiled floor.
First Floor:
Bedroom 1: With kingsize bed.
Bathroom: With shower over bath, toilet and heated towel rail. Maximum occupancy 2 adults.. All gas, electricity, bed linen and towels included. . Small patio area with garden furniture. Garage parking for 1 car (small/medium cars only); public car park at cost. Please note: No children.. This quaint one bedroom cottage is set in the very heart of Ambleside. Jackdaw Cottage is the perfect getaway and spring board to the Lakes. It is a cosy cottage with gas wood burner. The holiday home dates back from the 18th century and was part of a working community within Ambleside which had various types of industry. A good quality bed dressed in crisp cotton sheets guarantees a restful night’s sleep after a day on the fells or sightseeing. You can come back and relax and enjoy that well deserved break. A gentle stroll will bring you to Waterhead Pier where you will find the famous Windermere Lake Steamers offering the chance to cruise across to Bowness or Lakeside whilst taking in some more of the area’s stunning scenery.
