The house was delightful and well-equiped. Kathryn & Pompio were most welcoming and helpful. We had a great time and will recommend the property to anyone wanting a quiet place to stay in a beautiful area.
We have just returned from staying at this absolutely beautiful cottage nestling in stunning surroundings with views of the mountains. Kathryn, the owner, was so helpful and welcoming and I would love to stay again. Very happy to recommend.
Kathryn is a wonderful and friendly host! She welcomed us when we arrived. There was a lovely treat in the kitchen waiting for us with local products.Excellent communication since the booking was confirmed, The house is spacious, comfortable beds, gear selection Id DVDs, stunning views, My son enjoyed the football goal even under the rain and loved playing with Rosie, the owner s cute dog. There are horses and sheep in the field surrounding the property! We loved seeing them around. Happy 3 days and would love to come back!Thank you Kathryn for your hospitality.
The property itself is in a fantastic location with mountains on all sides. (The photos in the listing don't begin to do this justice). Apart from the owner's property next door there are no other houses nearby but you are within walking distance to the village.
The owner gave us a very warm welcome and we had everything we needed. I'd thoroughly recommend a stay here!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kathryn's cottage, it is very well equipped with everything one would have at home even a welcome basket which was most welcome. I would recommend this to my friends and family and will like to come back again. Thank you. Kathryn. Angela & Ron

Spider Infestation – Had to Leave After One NightWe booked this property for four nights but had to check out after one night due to a spider infestation. Within hours of arriving we had killed multiple spiders and because of jet leg we were awake at midnight and by morning we had killed a total of 40–50 spiders, and despite spending over two hours cleaning that morning, more kept appearing. We contacted the host immediately but received no real help, nor did they take any accountability , just told me they nor the previous guest saw any spiders and they couldn’t understand our complaints. The cottage was not suitable for staying in, and we checked out the next morning. I would not recommend this property to anyone unless major pest control is taken seriously and the Host takes responsibility of her accommodations. Host expected me to pay for 2 nights and offered 2 nights refund. We paid for a clean and habitable property. We booked a “relaxing stay” and instead spent hours battling spiders before giving up and checking out.The host refused to refund the unused nights (3) which is unacceptable given that the property was uninhabitable. The property is unsuitable for occupancy and certainly not in a condition that a paying guest could or should reasonably tolerate
We recently stayed for a week in this lovely cottage which is located in small village in the southeastern corner of the Brecon Beacons. 10 mins from Abergavenny, the cottage was perfectly situated to get to see the amazing national park, with Crickhowell and local attractions really close by. The cottage is also really nicely tucked away in the village and so when sitting outside you really feel the benefit of being in this fantastic area surround by welsh hills and the open air.
The cottage was perfect for our stay - clean, warm, quiet and modern. Our host was super welcoming and provided a great welcome pack which was much appreciated after our journey.
We would not hesitate to recommend the property and certainly hope to return in the future!
