The apartment was the perfect size and perfectly situated to all we needed in town. We hiked in Brecon Beacon NP and it was just a short drive to the trailhead. Geoff and Tina were lovely hosts and responded to each inquiry quickly. I’m pleased we added Abergavenny to our itinerary.
This charming property rates very high on our rental list! The hosts are incredibly responsive, thoughtful and kind. The location is prefect and we could walk everywhere. The house is well stocked and comfortable. We will stay again and highly recommended! Thank you Geoff and Tina for a memorable experience!

A very well equiped house. Nice touch to have the makings of breakfast for the next morning. Comfortable beds. The location was very good and we enjoyed the garden next to the river. We actually saw a kingfisher !! Lovely hosts who responded quickly to our requests and were very welcoming. Would definitely book again.

This vacation property is one of the nicest we have stayed in. It has been completely redone and has everything you could need. The attention to detail is amazing. There is a large folder with any information you could need for the area. Geoff and Tina had homemade bread, butter, coffee, milk, cereal and yogurt available. You can walk into town easily and there is plenty of parking. There is a nice patio area to sit next to the small river which we were able to do thanks to good weather. Wonderful place to stay!

Geoff and Tina's place is just perfect! - very well equipped, beautifully decorated and so close to all the town offers and a number of great walks - we didn't need to get into the car at all. The homemade bread and breakfast items were delicious and so appreciated. The bed was so comfy and the kitchen easy to cook a couple of simple meals. The info folder is thorough and easy to follow and very helpful. The outdoor area is amazing and we truly loved sitting in the covered area, listening to the birds and the small river - bliss, even though the weather was cold and a bit dreary. Geoff was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We wish we had planned to stay longer or could return easily. We can't recommend it highly enough!

We arrived at the house a little early but everything was already ready for us, which was fantastic! Quick unpack and a short walk into Abergavenny later, and we had a lovely afternoon and evening in the pubs and bars nearby. Good location to be able to drive into Cardiff for the speedway event the next day, and nice to be far enough out of the city when driving home afterwards. Lovely touch to leave us with milk, juice and breakfast items as well, thank you. If the same speedway event is in Cardiff again in 2025, we will definitely book to stay here.

Waterside is an exquisite opportunity to stay near the centre of this historic market town of Abergavenny, enjoying all the facilities it provides, Restaurants, shops, Castle and museum, together with bars etc , but then to return to the tranquility that the newly renovated rear of the property provides, adjacent to the River Gavenny.
This relaxing space can be enjoyed day or night, merely stepping out in the evening will trigger all the outdoor lighting of the patios, the river itself and the Gazebo.
Why they chose this property
Waterside is a quiet haven to simply enjoy for itself or to provide a central base for other activities locally or further afield. If you have an electric car then you can avail yourself of the charging facility (pre arranged) in comfort without the added issue of seeking out public charging points.
