About this property

Rural Snowdonia Lodge with Log Burner and Sauna. Dogs allowed.

★★ Welcome to Wnion Wood Lodge, near Dolgellau. An exclusive and spacious two bedroom home that sleeps four people. This is not a holiday park but a very small, privately owned lodge community in an extremely quiet, picturesque location. With a cosy log burner and an infrared sauna room with plenty of room for two people, you will feel totally relaxed. This well equipped home is ideal for couples or families who want a break away in the Welsh mountains. We can take up to two dogs by prior arrangement ★★

★ Wnion Wood Lodge is a beautiful, detached Scandinavian style wooden bungalow. It has recently been redecorated in light tones which really compliment the beautiful timber construction and give a modern feel. This is not a lodge on a holiday park, and this is reflected in the very calm, peaceful surroundings. The first thing you will notice is how quiet it is.

★ Our infrared sauna is a luxurious touch to make your stay extra special. Soothe away aching muscles or just enjoy the warmth after a day exploring the local area. Most of our guests remark on how much they enjoyed using our sauna.

★ There is a beautiful log burner to sit in front of on cold nights and we provide a generous basket of logs on arrival - with more wood available.

★ The private, terraced garden is a wild woodland retreat, with the only sounds being the birds singing and the sheep in neighbouring fields. We have provided you with outdoor seating for alfresco dining. We have a fully enclosed area of garden - dogs must be supervised at all times.

★ We are situated on the outer ring of a small, private community on the outskirts of the hamlet of Brithdir, very close to the beautiful town of Dolgellau. Being on the outer ring the lodge is not overlooked and has a secluded, private feel. There is ample space for parking.

★ We provide you with everything you need for a self catered stay in Wales. Our guests always comment on the level of detail and how well equipped our property is. There is a smart TV so you can log into your favourite streaming service.

★ Bedroom one has a king sized bed and ample storage space for your belongings. Bedroom two has two single beds which can be zipped together to make a super king sized bed - please let us know how you would like the beds made up.

★ The kitchen seats 4 and has views out over the garden and woods behind the lodge. We have a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher, and nearly everything you need to cook with (if you wish to!).

★★ We look forward to hosting you ★★

Other things to note:

Wild Wales
Gorgeous property. Super comfortable beds. I was surprised with the range of utensils etc in the kitchen. Great for walking, with idyllic scenery. Quite far for activities, but worth the drive.

Host profile image
Anna is originally from Yorkshire and Dylan is from the local area. We are a family of four, with two young children and love the area we live in, and are excited to be able to share our property and the area with visitors. We enjoy walking in the local area (which is getting easier now the small ones can walk further!), camping, festivals and our dogs. Dylan has recently rediscovered mountain biking and is regularly out on the trails.

Why they chose this property

A local family owned and operated holiday let, we are proud of our area and love sharing it with our guests. Wnion Wood is one of 3 properties we have available (listed elsewhere).

What makes this property unique

We have many reviews and all are 5 star. All our guests comment on how much they enjoyed their stay and how relaxing the lodge is, how well equipped it is and the attention to detail. It is the ideal base for exploring Snowdonia.
