If you rent an engine for the boat, you can go on slightly longer trips. Why not start the day with a morning dip from the jetty? On the large plot you have plenty of space for play and games. The cottage offers an open floor plan with a well-equipped kitchen combined with a living room with a comfortable sofa group. You have two bedrooms with 2 beds each. Bathroom with own washing machine, toilet, shower and a sink. Not far from the cottage are Bäckaskog Castle and Castle Park. The oldest parts of Bäckaskog Castle date from the early 13th century. On the headland between Ivösjön and Oppmannasjön, a monastery was built and parts of the old monastery church and the monks' kitchens are preserved in today's buildings. Karsholm Castle is also located by Oppmansjön. It is about 15 km to Kristiansstad. Here you should take a look at the well-preserved, historic city center. Also worth seeing is the Church of the Holy Trinity, the Holy Trinity Church. The three boulevards, which have given the city the nickname "Little Paris", are fantastic to stroll around. There are plenty of restaurants, good shopping and museums. Tivoli Park offers relaxation with the Art Nouveau Theater and Cafet in Fornstugan. For nature lovers, we recommend a trip to the biosphere reserve Vattenrike. Here you can go on a bird safari by boat, bike or on foot. The best time to visit Vattenrike is early summer and summer, when more than 130 bird species nest here. You can get to Åhus and the coast in less than an hour by car.
