About this property
Ivy Cottage, Aberfeldy, Scotland Scottish STL Licence: PK11697F
Ivy Cottage is a centrally-located, traditional Grade II listed cottage with pool table room, free off and on street parking and garden.
It is ideally located within minutes walk to Aberfeldy town centre with all its coffee shops, bars, restaurants and Art Deco cinema.
Home to The Birks of Aberfeldy, favourite of Robert Burns the Scottish National bard. You can visit him on his bench at lower Birks, then follow the footpath for 2 miles up to the Falls of Moness to discover spectacular views.
The river bank of the longest river in Scotland-The River Tay, large play park, tennis courts and a 9 hole golf course are also a short stroll away.
Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery with its award winning Visitor Centre is a must to see and experience and is within 20 minutes walking distance from the cottage. We are proud to have secured a special discount just for our guests which can be used when booking all tours, including Whisky Connoisseurs and Whisky and Chocolate. Details of this will be messaged to you after booking.
Kenmore on Loch Tay is just a short drive straight to the left from Ivy Cottage. Absolute must for the beautiful scenery and lovely places to enjoy wonderful food and drinks in Taymouth Marina, The Courtyard and the Kenmore Hotel.
Drive all the way overlooking the stunning Loch Tay, and you’ll arrive at Killin - famous for its Falls of Dochart.
Go over the historical Wade’s bridge towards the villages of Weem and Dull, to see Castle Menzies, visit Highland Safaris and continue to the beautiful village of Fortingall in Glen Lyon, the longest glen in Scotland. The Keltneyburn Smiddy is also on the way, well known for their metal sculpture artistry.
There are plenty of local activity providers to experience white water rafting, abseiling, gorge walking, canyoning and mountain biking.
We truly are spoilt for choices over here, and all contact information is in Ivy Cottage’s welcome pack for your convenience.
