The private West Coast Chalet is located in the heart of the Juan de Fuca Region where the pacific ocean meets the mountains and rainforest of Southern Vancouver Island. Less than 10 minutes from Jordan River and 45 minutes from Victoria BC, awaits this highly sought after property.

The Chalet is large and spacious with 3 Bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen and a living room and a full seperate theatre room.

World class surf breaks and hiking trails are abundant and in close proximity to the Chalet.

Local restaurants are conveniently located nearby as well are organic produce farms, ideal for preparing perfect meals.

The property is very private and includes old growth trees, a natural creek and walking trail to French Beach Provincial Park.

Scenic sites such as the Sheringham Lighthouse and hiking trails are walkable from the property. Paddle boarding, body surfing and kayaking are on the properties doorstep.

The interior furnishings are stylish and comfortable with fast wifi Internet and cable.

Lovely getaway

We loved our stay last week! It was quiet and peaceful. The home is lovely, open and airy. It’s well equipped and a close walk to French beach which was fun for the kids to play (and it had a nice playground as well!) We would stay again!

Rainforest chalet a peaceful oasis!

We loved our visit! The chalet was cozy, clean and very comfortable. The wood fired sauna was a great experience. The Sheringham loop hike, and short walk to French Beach were beautiful. Thanks for a great stay.

Family getaway

The chalet and property are beautiful. The chalet had everything you could possibly want for meal prep and relaxation- lovely amenities and well curated. The property was outstanding with the sauna, hammock, porch and lots of lovely yard to explore. The proximity to French Beach puts this property over the top with easy walk to the amazing sand and sunsets. Hosts were very responsive to all queries.

VRBO gave poor service

Property was great. Walked to the edge of French Beach. We were not given the access code in a responsible manner. We should have received the access code when you charger our credit card not just prior to check-in. We did not have cell or internet service for 10 days prior to check-in date. We expected someone to meet us at the house at 4 pm. No one arrived. We made at least 5 calls to the host but got voice mail. We did receive a call the next day. We waited for 2 hours for someone to come to the house. We finally left to find alternate accommodation. Fortunately at a new resort a staff member gave us their wifi code to check our e-mail. There was a message with the access code which worked. The experience was very stress producing and a total waste of time. As a result we want a refund for the administrative charges that VRBO assesses. We are not sure if we will book again through VRBO. We were very disappointed and irritated by our experience. We expect a refund.

A quiet oasis

We had a wonderful time - the house is beautiful and quaint, with a well-stocked and well-kept kitchen and comfortable beds. The house is steps away from French Beach Provincial Park (and the ocean) down a "magical fairy trail" which was great for our children. Thank you!

Beautiful property, well appointed, all the amenities and of course the location is amazing. If you like to see wildlife on the property every day (deer, rabbits and an owl), waking up to birdsongs and being able to walk to the ocean then book this beautiful home!

comfortable home and top notch kitchen!

My family of 6 stayed in Mike's house for a 10 day stay. We were fortunate to be some of the first guests in this recently updated home. The kitchen was very well equipped with new appliances & quality tools for everything we needed as a foodie family! The 2 queen beds were very soft and comfortable with great linens & pillows. The pullout couch was perfect our youngest kids. It was apparent that our hosts were very conscious when they equipped the house as no details were overlooked. The driveway to the house is quite hidden and narrow so wanted to give potential renters the heads up but there is plenty of parking space once you arrive at the house. One of the best rentals we have had over the years and we'll definitely be back!
