Oceanfront West Coast Vacation Home-Surfside Cottage with hot tub

Experience the West Coast of Vancouver Island at 'SurfSide Cottage' this is a lovely fully equipped ocean front three bedroom home. This home offers the experience of high bank ocean front with a 6 person j345 jacuzzi hot tub on the side of the cliff and also has a stair case access to the private pebble beach.

SurfSide features a contemporary style home with fir floors, cedar ceilings and an airtight wood stove for romantic nights. Relax on the deck while overseeing the ocean wildlife as this is the place to get away from it all! Take in the fresh ocean breeze and feast your eyes with the scenery.

For the active at heart one can hike the nearby Juan de Fuca Trail which is part of the West coast trail or one can also visit the Botanical Beach in Port Renfrew.

This home is rented at low season rates by the day, by the week or month from October to May. Shoulder season months are June and September and high season is in July and August. No monthly rentals in shoulder or high season.

Small 10 people weddings can be arranged on a case by case but additional insurance fee required.

IMPORTANT: Please watch the video on this site for the hot tub user guide. Also read the hardcopy manual located in the towel basket before using the hot tub.

Note: Base rate is for 2 guests. Additional cost for daytime or overnight guests as well as pets. ONLY registered guests permitted on the property.
The third bedroom has a separate exterior basement entrance accessible at the back (ocean side) of the house.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Make sure kitchen is cleaned up and dishes washed and put away.
Return the keys to the lock box.
Report anything that has been damaged.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No outside fires on beach or property . Only guests on the guest list will be allowed on the property. Full damage deposit will be kept otherwise.
Always inquire if 1 (well trained) dog per set of guests allowed on the property per stay. Not allowed on furniture, must pick up after your dog.
Cleaning fee does not include cleaning the dishes and tiding up kitchen. Extra fee payable on an hourly basis of $25/hr if left untidy.

Property is wonderfully maintained and the views are out of this world. Steps from the garage to the house are a bit steep for handicapped but definitely manageable. Property was clean, well equipped and the hostess Innes was a delight to deal with. We would definitely stay there again. thanks of your hospitality

Surfside Cottage

This is an amazing property with beautiful views.There are ocean views from every room. The cottage is very clean and comfortable. It has everything you could need. The property has many outdoor areas to explore, including access to a private beach.There is even a hot tub for soaking after long hikes. The location is very convenient. It's close to many hikes and beaches, but only a short drive from town. We had a wonderful stay at Surfside Cottage.

Now, that is a long time ago! I am a registerd nurse and love my job in the community. I have two adult sons. I also love my place out in Sooke that I share with many people all over the world.It is the perfect place to get away from our busy lives.

Why they chose this property

This home was my first home that I owned and never could bring myself to sell it. Renting out month to month could not give me the options to enjoy it so the vacation rental option was perfect for us!
