Local Area
Y Caban is situated on Foxhill Farm, a gorgeous organic dairy farm surrounded by 90 acres of unspoiled organic pasture. It is secluded and private, but with easy access to the local village St Dogmaels with it's ruined abbey, flour mill, award winning farmers market, galleries & pubs.
Y Caban is within a short drive to the glorious Pembrokeshire Coast Path, and big sandy beach Poppit Sands.
Getting there
The post code for some reason directs SAT NAV's to the farm just before Foxhill which has a sign on the gate for Ysgubor Hen. This is the wrong place. You'll be on the right lane, but you're looking for stone pillars either side of a cattle grid with a metal sign on them saying Foxhill. Take this lane, not Ysgubor Hen.
Accessibility
The cabin is on a raised platfrom that is reached from the private car parking space, along a gravel path to a set of 4 steps. The entire property is on one floor however, so could be suitable for those who do not wish to have many stairs in a property or have some limited mobility. The bathroom is a shower over bath.

We really enjoyed our stay, lovely walks for our 2 dogs, Poppit beach is just 5 minutes drive away and the dogs really enjoyed it. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, we would definitely return.
Very nice place with lots of room inside and outside. Beautiful tree shadow to sit outside. Actually met a fox while walking around.

QUITE NICE, BUT NOT PERFECT
The cabin is small, the bed uncomfortable, the shower not great. It's ok for a night or so, but we wouldn't recommend for much longer. Made a second phone call to the managers that was not responded to.

Very cosy, very secluded, and in a great location for exploring a very beautiful area. Just down the hill is St Dogmaels itself, which is lovely. Nearby Poppit Sands is now our dog's favourite place in the world, and the must-see St David's is just an hour away. Be aware, if you're a nervous driver, that you'll have to negotiate some steep hills and tight bends getting to and from the cabin, but there's nothing that a normal car can't handle.
