Clean, comfortable, and close to everything. We loved the location of this condo, especially with its proximity to the grocery store and everything else. The host graciously allowed for a small change to our reservation as well. Highly recommend for a stay on Madeline Island.
The condo was very clean and easy to find. Check in was also very easy. The only real downside to our stay was the condo next to us had two large barking dogs. My understanding when booking was that no dogs were allowed.
You can't beat the location of this condo! Just a few minutes walk from the public beach, great shops, restaurants, and bars. Very clean and comfortable with all the amenities you would need.
Well situated in downtown La Pointe. Days at the lagoon and nights at Tom’s. During the weekend, the bakery just below has fantastic coffee and baked goods in the morning. The property was clean and well-stocked. It also has a great living area if you want to get a game of Euchre going (or Sheepshead or Cribbage, I don’t judge). We were there during one of the hottest weekends, and the A/C was able to keep us comfortable.
Great place. Walking distance to most places. Very small town. Only negatives, dog barking constantly in unit next to us. Man smoking a cigar 2 units down-gross! But these have nothing to do with our unit which was great!!
This place is great!!!! First off I would like to thanks the hosts for working with me on changing the dates due to an emergency with my dog. Great communication and very understanding. The location is perfect, right in the middle of town and walking distance to everything. Would 100% stay again.
We had a lovely stay at the La Pointe rental. The location was perfectly located.
We had a lovely stay at the Ferry Dock landing rental. The space was as described and was perfectly located next to most of the restaurants and shops on the island. There is a nice coffee shop and bakery downstairs and the Motion to go bike rental is also located just downstairs. I’d recommend this unit to anyone visiting the island for a trip looking for a nice place to stay with dependable owners.
Thank you!
The apartment is nice and everything we needed was there. It's close to restaurants, the ferry, etc. Only the sound from the bar across the street with live music was a little disturbing at night, but it was the Fourth of July weekend so we can't complain.
I thought the location was great, the apt is clean, but overall quality is what you would expect for an upstairs apt in an aging strip mall. Checkin was easy. The window air conditioner is in the living room so the bedroom is kinda warm even with the window open. I would consider staying there again if we found our way back to the island.
This is a great condo close to everything in LaPointe. Even though Tom's Butned Out Bar is across the street, it wasnt too loud for us at night. It was very hot and humid the weekend we were there and the air conditioner had a hard time keeping up. Maybe a ceiling fan in the living area would help with air circulation, but how often is it that warm on the island!
Had a beautiful weekend stay on Madeline Island. It was great to get a break from electronics & take in everything the island has to offer. This location is ideal to call home for your adventure!! It is located above the "hub" to help you plan each day - from bikes, to moped's, coffee, lil' sugar from the bakery, The Chamber of Commerce even to name a few! The Hosts are extremely helpful & responsive. The Condo has a whimsical, nautical/island theme & neat map to boot! Memories that were created here are heartfelt & appreciated. Look forward to staying again!
The listing is 100% what you will get, the space is actually a little nicer than what the photos show! Its no frills but who spends all their time inside on the island? Have stayed in a couple of other units above the shops and this is has been the nicest so far.
Was a little weary of the clean up/check out procedure being alot but its also better than paying some of the ridiculous clean up fees other properties charge.

Not happy with required damage deposit.
The condo was in need of renovation. The host requires either a very substantial damage deposit or that you purchase damage insurance through VRBO. I found this somewhat offensive. Plus, the condo already has water damage to the cabinetry, a broken sliding door in the closet, and other damage. In other words, the host could easily claim that a guest caused the damage and refuse to refund all or part of the deposit. I spent a half hour or more taking pictures of damaged areas. It seems to me that the host could reserve the right to require insurance or a deposit without making it mandatory.

The damage deposit it part of VRBO, you can either put down $1500 and get fully refunded if no damage or $59.00 that is non refundable. This is a choice of the renter. You should not make judgement or assumptions that any host are out there trying to claim fraud, we are only trying to protect our property.
I believe you were fully refunded after your stay.
