Ridge Barn is a beautifully styled holiday home near Shipston-on-Stour which sleeps eight guests, in four stylish bedrooms, with three contemporary bathrooms. This stunning property can be booked alongside its neighbouring holiday home, Furrow Barn, providing accommodation for up to 12 guests. Ridge Barn is a pet friendly, single storey home away from home which sits within the grounds of a former working farm and features a spacious open plan living area, with pocket doors for separation if desired, a cosy wood burner and underfloor heating throughout. There is a peaceful garden at the front of the property which enjoys spectacular rural views, is hot tub compatible and has a small fire pit, perfect for those chillier evenings.

This four bedroom holiday home on the outskirts of Honington, near Shipston-on-Stour, is perfectly suited for those looking to get together with family and friends, exploring the North Cotswolds and beyond. This single storey accommodation is laid out as follows:

Lovely Barn

Happy to return for the Second time

Ridge Barn is a lovely place to stay. This was our second time staying there for a family long weekend away. It is very spacious and has everything in the Barn to make it a very comfortable stay. John, the Host is very helpful. Also a great place to stay to explore the beautiful countryside/area around.

Perfect home from home!

This was our second stay at Ridge Barn and we had another wonderful weekend. Location is perfect for exploring surrounding areas, and house comfortably had enough room for 6 adults 3 kids and 2 dogs! Everything you could need is provided and the house is clean, comfortable and just a real home from home. We look forward to returning next year!

Beautiful place to stay!

Lovely place to stay with everything we needed :) the barn and grounds are beautiful, as is the surrounding area. Plenty to do! I took my 4 children and dog, they all loved it! It's a stunning place but it's also comfortable for a family without worrying something is going to be destroyed. Very well set out. Thankyou very much!

Cotswolds Treasure

Ridge Barn was a knockout from the moment we turned the key! The interior of the barn was stylish and homely, every piece of furniture was chosen to compliment the building and the spacious layout was a joy. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking anything from a boiled egg to a Sunday roast!! Loved the large American style fridge freezer. Each of the 4 bedrooms were beautifully decorated and furnished and having 2 with en suite bathrooms was a real plus. Thanks for a relaxing and comfortable stay.

Relaxing Retreat for family time

We had a great family holiday here. Perfect for 6 adults, 1 child and a medium sized dog. Beautiful area and property, loved the drive up to Ridge Barn and all the scenery around. You definitely need a car to stay here though. A short drive to nearest town, not in walking distance. For us this was a positive as we had the peace and quiet and a short drive to many different areas. We hired a hot tub to be installed also, which was a bonus. The only negative would be that the patio doors were stuck and wouldn’t open, which didn’t bother us as too cold to have them kept open, would be nice on a hot day though. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Spacious accommodation in a tranquil location.

The Barn is so much bigger inside than it looks from the front. Really spacious, tastefully decorated, very well equipped and comfortable. The kitchen area is enormous with a huge store cupboard, fridge freezer and electric range oven. We stayed on a very hot weekend so it was quite warm inside, we kept on thinking the underfloor heating was on, however as its high up in a rather windy spot, opening the french windows solved that. The large utility room with outside access is a really useful space for storage and for dog paraphernalia. We made great use of the grassy space on the drive for children´s games. The only negatives would be that in hot weather the duvets are too heavy and the bedroom curtains don´t cut out all the light. Of course non of this is a problem most of the year.

A fantastic barn in the Cotswolds

We stayed at Ridge Barn for a wedding weekend as a group of 8 adults and 1 toddler. The barn was perfect for the group as had plenty of space for everyone. The rooms were all very well proportioned and were bigger than the photos show. The kitchen was well equipped and the barn was very clean.

Lovely stay

We really enjoyed our stay . The barn was spotless, comfortable and peaceful . All rooms are spacious. Well located to drive to attractions around the Cotswolds. My only negative is, I would have liked the garden to be a little more enclosed for my dog. The plant pot barrier instead of the fence ment she could get out which wasn’t ideal.

Friends walking weekend

Ridge Barn was very comfortable, plenty warm enough and spacious for 8 people. A group of us meet every year for a walking weekend. Ridge barn was lovely but walks were slightly disappointing due to very poor signs, even for the long distance paths. Only criticism of barn was not enough glassware, eh, only 6 champagne flutes when place sleeps 8. First World problem of course !

A Wonderful Mini-Break at Ridge Barn

We had a wonderful 4 night break at Ridge Barn. Some of our party arrived ahead of us and were warmly welcomed by the owners who kindly provided 2 pints of milk and some delicious ground coffee and biscuits. The house is very comfortable, light and airy with plenty of space. It is also in immaculate condition. The kitchen is particularly well equipped with a lot of attention to detail. There is also a lovely garden area at the front with a barbecue and a fire pit. As it was Autumn we did not make use of this but can imagine it would be delightful to sit out there in late Spring or Summer.

A clean property in a great location with modern amenities. Highly Recommended!

The barn is equipped with modern amenities and is located in a charming and tranquil area. It is a family friendly single-floor home. Beautiful outdoor dining /seating area overlooking the fields. Young kids will love watching the sheep in the fields next to the home. The owners are also lovely and helpful when assistance is needed. We would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a Cotswold stay and we would also return again.

A delightful, spacious property

A very spacious and well thought-out property. The view is unimpeded and beautiful. The bedrooms are large. The living spaces are very well positioned, and can be either open space or closed in with sliding doors. The lounge area is super spacious, double height ceiling, with the largest sofa I have ever seen. It looks out towards to front of the property with its beautiful view over the countryside. The kitchen is large and well planned. We were all amazed and jealous of the corner pantry style cupboard. I would very happily recommend this property and return for another stay. Just lovely.

lovely cottage in quiet rural location

Lovely well appointed and spacious cottage in a quiet rural location good for exploring nearby Stratford upon Avon, Warwick castle etc. Hosts were very responsive, lots of nice local pubs, would recommend.

Stunning holiday rental

We booked Ridge barn for a family holiday, totaling 8 people. This place was fantastic. The pictures don't do it justice. There is significant space, great sized rooms, comfy beds and is equipped with everything to ensure you can holiday 'in' or 'out'. The location for us was perfect. You feel in the middle of no where, but a 10 min drive gets you to a small village shop which is well stocked. Driving is essential for this place. The owners were lovely, greeting us with fresh coffee and shortbread upon arrival, and dropping by a basket of apples from their orchid mid holiday. I would typically never visit the same place twice, but I would with Ridge Barn. Loved it!!!
