We had us a wonderful time at the Riverside Stable Cottage, which looks very nice, is very comfortable and also clean. The countryside out there is beautiful and so is the view from the cottage itself. Inside the cottage everything we needed was provided for which made it a perfectly relaxing stay. Communication with owner Simon went smoothly; he answered all questions we had promptly. Whenever we're around Maidstone again, we'd love to come back to the Riverside Stable Cottage!
The property was clean and was well equipped for the two of us. The listing was accurate. Being on one level it provided a good flow. Its location provided a good base for exploring the area and the easy to reach castles of Leeds, Scotney, Hever and Sissinghurst. There are plenty of excellent farm shops in the vicinity and the local shop in Yalding was well stocked. The location is relaxing and the provision of an outdoor eating area was adequate with uninterrupted country views. Communication with the host was very good, as was self check in and out, with the reassurance there was a pro-active host available, should the need have arisen.
The Stables are an idyllic spot - lovely views of fields and the super friendly sheep. A very quiet retreat with excellent facilities and a clean modern feel. Simon the host has been super accommodating even providing me with a desk and chair so that I could work. I felt so comfortable here I stayed for 3 weeks! Recommend highly.
