A 1930s "Time Capsule" Apartment

My apartment is located in one of the most beautiful and well-preserved buildings on the block.
The apartment is virtually intact in the style of the 1930s, but with all modern amenities.
The furniture is from the same period, in order to create a consistent atmosphere.
It's an apartment of approximately 120 square metres, located on one of the most central streets in city centre Porto, just a few metres from the city's main shopping street. I would also like to mention that the Porto municipality charges €3 per night for each guest aged 12 and over, for stays of up to 7 consecutive nights, payable in cash to the host during the stay. This fee is mandatory.

Hello Marie, I’m so sorry for the noise downstairs!! It was not my fault , but I feel like I must apologise just the same. I cannot control who ever the other apartament get as guests, and its seams that this group downstairs was very noisy, other guests also complained. I wish you could text me when the problem started , because I could do something about that, like I did with the guests that came after you.

The location was absolutely perfect. The apartment was safe and secure. Walking Distance to all of Portos attractions. You will definitely enjoy your stay!

The apartment is in a convenient location walkable to most areas of historic Porto. The VRBO description is accurate as the apartment is a time capsule. The showers were super and bathrooms were clean. My only suggestion is a couple of chairs in the living room should be replaced, but we truly appreciated the charm of this vintage apartment.

The apartment is in a very convenient location; far enough from the busiest streets that it stays relatively quiet, but close enough to walk everywhere. It’s the perfect spot to start exploring the city and eventually make your way down to Gaia.The apartment itself was an absolute dream. It’s incredibly charming, beautifully decorated, and full of character. I wished I could live there & loved every second of my stay.Sofia was also wonderful and very responsive whenever I had questions.The apartment was clean, including the floors, bathrooms, sheets, and living spaces. One thing to note is that, because it’s a very old building, it can be a bit dusty. If you have asthma or are sensitive to dust, I’d recommend bringing your inhaler just in case. Other than that, we had a fantastic stay and would happily return.

Porto in 3 days

This quaint property is centrally located with easy acces to everything. "Mercato" 5 mins walk where you can try and buy a wide range of food and drinks (Porto, wines, Ginjinha etc) River about 15 mins walk Public transport easily accessible on the street. Recommend "Bolt" as it's cheap and reliable.

Quaint apartment. Very old but unique. Comfortable beds. Host is just lovely and very helpful. Very small kitchen but has everything you need for a small cook up. TIPS: Just some info for guests - 2nd floor apartment with stairs, no lift. Parking is available in a car park around the corner, ask the host for information. Busy street but quiet at night. No air con but fans provided and you can open the windows. Close to everything, walkable distances. Some noise from neighbours but quiet at night.

Sehr schöne, großzügige Wohnung mit viel Charme und portugiesischem Flair. Wir waren mit vier Personen drinnen, jeder konnte ein eigenes Schlafzimmer haben. Man hätte aber auch sehr gut mit sieben Personen dort wohnen können. Lage ist sehr zentral. Eins der Schlafzimmer geht zur befahrenen Straße raus - wen das stört, der sollte Ohrstöpselchen mitnehmen. Uns hat es nicht gestört, zumal uns die zentrale Lage sehr wichtig war. Die Kommunikation mit Sofia war hervorragend. Sie hat immer sehr schnell geantwortet und war sehr zuvorkommend - so durften wir unsere Koffer länger in der Wohnung stehen lassen. Nochmals herzlichen Dank für die tolle Unterstützung!Wohnung und Einrichtung sind älter, was halt zum Charme beiträgt und einem das Gefühl gibt, sich in einer typisch portugiesischen Wohnung zu befinden. Das bedeutet aber auch, dass z.B eins der Badezimmer innenliegend ist und nicht über die heute üblichen Ventilatoren verfügt. Das sollte man wissen - wer eine cleane Ikea-Wohnung erwartet, ist hier nicht richtig.Wir waren auf jeden Fall sehr begeistert von der Wohnung, der Lage und Sofia und empfehlen sie uneingeschränkt weiter.

Appartement pour grande famille

Nous avons séjourner en famille du 13 au 16 mars. L'appartement est authentique.Il est tres bien situé, certe dans un carrefour. Mais quand on le choisis on sait aussi qu'on est dans le centre. A proximité de la rue centrale, des restaurant et du métro.Sofia a été à notre écoute et encore merci pour la cafetière.Nous avons rencontrer Maria, charmante et attentionné. Superbe emplacement pour ce grand appartement. Très bien situé et avec le charme de l'ancien. Literie impeccable. Cachet de l'ancien mais aussi défauts de l'ancien. Pas de double vitrage donc appartement très bruyant vis à vis de la rue. autre point négatif pour la cuisine qui est petite mais surtout très mal équipée vis à vis du nombre d'occupants possible.
