With panoramic views over the River Yare and the acres of marshland beyond, this delightful cottage offers a perfect peaceful retreat, and truly has something for everyone. Spend time together walking, cycling, boating, bird watching, fishing (in season, with the required licence), or visiting the Broads or Norfolk coast. Superb for families, as well as a romantic haven for an elegant couple’s getaway. Completely refurbished in 2022 to offer a high standard of furnishing, offering discerning guests comfort and style. The master bedroom with kingsize bed boasts views of the river with a backdrop of the Norfolk marshes, rich with wildlife, and a further twin-bedded room looks down on the courtyard garden to the rear. Boasting open-plan accommodation on the ground floor, it makes for light, airy and very sociable living. The well-equipped kitchen offers the opportunity to prepare meals and dine at home. Leading off the kitchen is the enclosed, private courtyard garden with seating furniture, perfect for al fresco dining. Worry not, for those that prefer to dine out there are plenty of great eateries nearby. The village has two pubs, both serving food, a shop, fish and chip shop, delicatessen with café, a quaint post office and tea shop and a micro-brewery. The seating bench and sunbeds in the front garden offer an ideal suntrap; here you may be tempted to rest up, read a book, unwind, view the birds and the wildlife on the marshes or simply just watch the boating activity along the river, directly opposite.
Within the Norfolk Broads there are miles of much-celebrated waterways to explore. You can enjoy a trip on the river or hire a boat at nearby Wroxham, the capital of the Broads. A short drive away are the wonderful sandy beaches and dunes along the Norfolk coastline - with coastal walks at Winterton, and seal watching at Horsey. Reedham is equidistant from the historic city of Norwich with cathedral, theatres, museums, shops restaurants and cafés, and the coastal resort of Great Yarmouth with traditional seaside attractions. Reedham’s mainline railway station means you leave the car behind and jump on the train to explore Norwich and the coast. Trains into Norwich take just 13 minutes.
