Region: Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.
Town: Padstow is at the start of the Camel Cycle Trail, and it's a great place to start exploring the South West Coastal Path, which leads to stunning Cornish countryside. This charming fishing port is flanked by sandy beaches and offers a variety of possibilities to sample locally sourced fare in celebrity-owned restaurants. Watersports, walking, cycling, and fishing are all available in Padstow, and you can even take a trip aboard a local fisherman's boat! Harlyn and Constantine's outstanding surfing beaches are suitable for safe family enjoyment, and Constantine Bay also has a golf course just a few miles away, while a passenger ferry across the river from Padstow to Rock brings you to Daymer Bay's beach. The surfing paradise of Polzeath is only around the bend toward Pentire Head, and when the beach no longer calls, there's a golf course nearby, as well as several beautiful residences and gardens to visit. The amazing Eden Project is only about 20 miles distant.
