Sandpiper Cottage, Trusthorpe, a 5* holiday home next to dog-friendly beaches
Welcome to Sandpiper Cottage!
Our charming cottage, nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac in the small, peaceful seaside hamlet of Trusthorpe, offers you the perfect relaxing seaside holiday home experience. We are proud to have received 5-star reviews from all our guests since opening in summer 2021. (Read over 60 5* reviews on our website sandpipercottage.co.uk) We promise you won’t be disappointed!
Sandpiper Cottage is a spotlessly clean, sunny, detached self-catering bungalow, which is extremely spacious, comfortable and welcoming, being maintained by the owners, Val and David, to a very high standard.
Sandpiper Cottage is only minutes from our dog-friendly beach, yet a short drive to a host of Lincolnshire's many attractions. Midway between Sutton-On-Sea and Mablethorpe on the Lincolnshire coast, Sandpiper Cottage is perfectly situated for exploring all the area has to offer.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the conservatory while planning your day, or watch the sun go down with a glass in hand on the patio.
Sandpiper has ample off-road parking for two cars on the drive and has secure garage storage for cycles. We can now offer three-night weekend or four-night weekday breaks. Please request a quote.
Sandpiper Cottage offers two large, airy double bedrooms – one king-size with an ensuite shower room (with sink and toilet), and the other with twin beds, adjacent to our sparkling, fully-tiled family bathroom.
Both bedrooms have comfortable beds with quality bed linen and comfy pillows, along with plenty of storage space, a personal security safe, hairdryers, USB sockets, an alarm clock, etc. There is everything you could need for a perfect holiday.
The large, modern and well-equipped dining kitchen has everything you need to cook a great meal, and includes an electric Hob and a new electric double Oven, Fridge/freezer, Microwave, Air Fryer, filter Coffee machine, Dishwasher and Washer/dryer. A door from the kitchen leads into our conservatory, allowing you to enjoy a comfortable alternative to an eating and relaxing area, looking out onto our pretty, private, and secure garden.
Move through into our cosy lounge with two comfy leather recliners and a sofa, and a 55” Samsung Smart TV (includes Sky Sports / Netflix / Amazon Prime / Sky Programmes / Terrestrial TV) with DVD player (DVDs not supplied). Complimentary ultra-fast free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
Through French windows, the lounge leads onto a private terrace with a bistro table and chairs, where you can enjoy your morning coffee whilst planning the day’s adventures. There are sun loungers and beach towels available.
Trusthorpe is the ideal base for discovering the Lincolnshire coastline alongside other coastal towns such as Chapel St. Leonards, Sutton-on-Sea and Mablethorpe, with attractions nearby. The traditional larger seaside town of Skegness is a short drive away with lots to keep the family entertained, providing an array of shops, cafes, funfairs & amusements, restaurants and pubs to enjoy.
Trusthorpe also offers an ideal base to explore the nearby characterful little market towns of Louth, Alford, Horncastle and Spilsby, with so much to offer the interested traveller, in addition to the several coastal nature reserves for those interested in bird-spotting, and walking, with or without your dog. Plus, for those interested, our Lincolnshire big skies offer clear stargazing opportunities.

About the host
Hosted by Val & David

We’re Val and David. We have been visiting Lincolnshire for many years, both with our grandchildren, who love the beach and the buzz of the nearby resorts, and also to play golf at the marvellous golf courses the county has to offer.
We finally decided that we would like a permanent base there – preferably close to the sea, and when we found Sandpiper, it was love at first sight!
Attempting to see travel through your eyes has been almost as much fun as going somewhere new ourselves. We hope you have as much fun staying in our holiday home, exploring this multi-faceted county, as we do.
