Tigh Bhrendain is located amidst outstanding scenery and only a short walk to some of the most beautiful beaches in Connemara. Although nestling in among rock and shrubbery the cottage still has a distant sea view. It was clean and comfortable and Roseanne, the housekeeper, was very friendly and helpful. I have stayed here twice and am already planning my return to this little oasis of peace and tranquility.

Lovely spot but…
This is obviously a much loved family holiday home, and it is a beautiful location between 2 super beaches. The kitchen and living area is comfortable and well equipped and there are lovely ‘extras’ like logs for the stove, board games and fishing rods.
It technically sleeps 8 but realistically it probably only works for a max of 4 adults with some children - there is only one shower and no bath, and there are not enough chairs to seat 8 people.

Well-equipped cottage sheltered by lush vegetation within walking distance of beautiful beaches
We spent 5 nights in this charming, cosy cottage. The ‘cooks’ kitchen was especially well-equipped with all the pots, pans and gizmos. Oh joy to find not one, but several knives capable of cutting a vegetable in a holiday let! Freshly painted in gorgeous colours and tastefully furnished (scandi vintage?). I would have happily moved in and stayed for longer but it really felt like someone’s own home, rather than a holiday let - so I couldn’t. Piles of games, puzzles and books for kids and adults. Lovely bedrooms, top knotch bed linen and towels. For us, a mattress topper would have made all the difference - we might drive over another time and bring our own. The garden, with that rock, a gem of a view down to the sea, sheltered with lush vegetation, mountain views to the rear - incredible. Safe, tucked away, stole my heart.
Sehr schönes und schön gelegenes Haus. Strandnah. Ganz klare Empfehlung!

Family if 5 from Cork. Son studying in ATU Connemara. Spent week of Midterm in Tigh Bhrendain.
House was perfect for us. Fire lighting. Very clean. Loads of puzzles and a wide variety of books. I fell in love with Connemara and Glasoilean. Climbed Diamond Hill. Walked in the woodlands out in the Inagh Valley. Loved my week in Culfin
