Cigarette smell ruined stay

Our stay was completely ruined by an incredibly overpowering stench of cigarette smoke constantly being pumped out through the air con. The smell was overwhelming even from the end of the garden path with the front door shut. Host was not at all helpful, initially denying any knowledge or that it was even possible. Within a few messages he admitted he was aware of the problem due to the upstairs neighbour smoking and sharing an air con system. Still no apology and was very blunt to the point of rudeness. I can not emphasise how strong the smell was. It clung to all of our luggage even after just one night, even the plastic carrier bags. Horrid. Be warned.

I am very sorry for the inconvenience caused by the neighbor above the property, I never told you that I was unaware of the situation only that it was a problem that was not ours because inside the property smoking is forbidden and never guests do it, I was always in contact with you, I was never rude and I even offered you to cancel the reservation with full refund, you told me that the apartment was very nice and that you liked it very much and the problem was just that it had a little cigarette smell, I don't think it was necessary on your part not to tell the truth about my attention, I have the copy in the app of all the messages I sent you and I can check everything. I am sorry again for the inconvenience and we are improving every day our lodging to provide a good service to our guests and I believe that for this specific fact we will not stop being professional.

Great stay!!

Was perfect for us. Enough room for everyone. Nicely decorated. Alejandro was very accommodating. Great host. Will stay again when visiting Orlando Kissimmee area again.
