The Beach Boathouse - Sea Views & Golf Courses

Beach Boathouse is a distinctive former lifeboat house set directly on the shoreline in the coastal hamlet of Westhaven, beside Carnoustie. Set at the end of a row of traditional fishermen`s cottages, it sits right on the sand with uninterrupted views across the bay, and dolphins are occasionally spotted from the balcony.

Living Space

The bright open plan lounge and dining area overlooks the beach through a large picture window. Comfortable seating and a log burner create a relaxed setting, and the handmade dining table seats up to eight guests. The fully equipped kitchen suits self catering, and doors open onto a private balcony for morning coffee or evening sea air.

Bedrooms

Four bedrooms are arranged across two floors. Downstairs are a double room and a king room which can be arranged as twins on request, please confirm your preferred configuration at booking. Upstairs are a king room with en suite bathroom and a further double room.

Outdoor Space

The property sits directly on the beach at Westhaven, with immediate access to the shoreline for paddleboarding, coastal walks and exploring.

Fantastic Halloween weekend stay

We had a wonderful stay, the beach boathouse is gorgeous. Loved the halloween touch when we arrived carved pumpkins in the window. Perfect for our little halloween party . Comfy and cosy with a perfect view of the water. We will defo be back.

Wonderful Seaside Beach House

We absolutely loved our stay. The house was clean, comfortable, and inviting. There were all of the amenities that we could ever need and the view we woke up to each morning was priceless. And the location afforded both convenience and walkability to town. It was wonderful fornour grouo of 4 adults and two kids.

Magical Location

Wonderful property in a perfect location. If you want to be hyper critical you might want to complain about the furniture and kitchen facilities being in need of an upgrade, but if you want to enjoy your vacation, these are such minor issues that shouldn’t bother you at all.Our USA and U.K. children and grandchildren had a “whale of a time” and we would not hesitate to return.

Carnoustie and beyond

My family come from Carnoustie area so know it well. We came up from Manchester for a break and a special family gathering . Friends came too who never visited before and they were over the moon with the house and surrounding areas . The Beach BoatHouse made the trip just that little bit more special. Highly recommended.

Beautiful Stay

Location superb. House is excellent for family stay. The house is spacious, clean and has a great vibe to it. The balcony is brilliant and the lounge is great. The beds are comfy and the kitchen is big enough for a gathering. Nothing really. The house is superb and the location is fantastic. We really enjoyed it. Carnoustie is lovely and the train station nearby makes everywhere accessible. I would make a communication with the client the week before just to confirm details and instructions. The experience we had was great. Thank you.

One towel for 4 nights was tough without a dryer ( washer worked fine but difficult to dry towels on a rack indoors).Limited space in bedroom for 2, but we managed.Host communicated well and place was described accurately, it was just smaller than expected in reality.Would stay again with fewer people
