We had an amazing chilled out holiday at this well equipped rental. It was well furnished to high quality and very clean. The location was superb which allowed us an easy stroll into town along the lovely estuary. We will be back and book to stay again .
A lovely, well appointed apartment with fabulous views
We had a wonderful stay in this lovely, little apartment. It was perfect for a family of four. Great location, tasteful decor and a very responsive hostess. Would definitely come back.
We had a lovely stay at Crabshell Quay. The flats are of a very high standard, the view is amazing and the situation perfect. Comfortably sleeps 4 with the possibility of one or two more on a sofa bed. Everything necessary was supplied. Thoroughly recommended.
We really enjoyed our stay and loved being right on the water with such great views.
Nearly everything met or surpassed expectation. There were niggles, such as the mattress nearest the window in the main bedroom needing to be turned and the lack of an information sheet in the apartment but these didn't matter too much.
Our only significant issue was the parking. The number of large 4x4s in the car park and the limited size of the entrance made it virtually impossible to park our medium sized car in the garage and we were very aware that there would be no guarantee of being able to get out of the garage again, even if we did manage it! We ended up parking up a steep residential road a few minutes' walk away - not terrible but pretty frustrating.
That said, we would consider staying there again.
Finally, the Crabshell Bar/Restaurant next door was unexpectantly good - informal with a limited menu but good quality food and excellent, hard working staff who could not have been more courteous and friendly.

Not the holiday we expected, no warning of parking difficulties
Cleanliness: Small moths in master bedroom clearly visible on arrival. 20 counted in the flat when packing - a serious issue, eggs could be on our clothes. Fans don't work in shower rooms. No bathmat in main shower room. Otherwise cleaned well.
Check in: Got arrival info 24 hrs before leaving, after two stressful days of trying. Repeatedly tried Contact Host on VRBO site. Repeatedly tried phone number given for host: 'Unrecognised'. Vrbo said host hadn't given the info, so contact direct. Given a second number, rang repeatedly, no answer, left voicemail and text. Email arrived with partial info, no key codes. Picked up info text Sat am, 24 hrs before leaving, after sleepless night (left Fri 11.57pm). On arrival, another vehicle was waiting to access the car park after us. With several turns reversed into car park space opp the garage, lined up to drive in, and checked the info. 'You will see the garage on the right hand side. There is a keybox on the right of the garage door '. Two keys in box, one labelled front door. The other didn't unlock the garage. Rang host, 'Did you read what I sent?' Further info re. accessing via flat didn't state that was the ONLY way to open the garage. Host warned me to ensure the door didn't hit the car, and said I had to reverse in. People still waiting, I eventually accepted another resident's offer of help, who said 'It's hellish difficult, even without the big cars opposite'. Couldn't use car all week due to this. Very difficult week

I am sorry that you were unable to access or read the information that was sent to you.
When you rang me to say you were having trouble getting in, I was very polite, and stayed on the phone, and guided you through the complete process
The flat had been thoroughly cleaned the day before and no moths were present It would have been helpful to have informed me immediately that you had discovered moths so that I could have come straight in and rectified it
The same with the fans for the bathrooms which just needed to be switched on outside the door
I would also have immediately made sure you had another bath mat
Yes the parking is tight but again that was included in the details and it is possible. I have a VW transporter There is also free parking on the next road which was also mentioned
