Spacious flat: stunning views, close to beaches and pub - family & dog friendly
A spacious first floor apartment with a master bedroom with en-suite (including whirlpool bath) and a second bedroom with double bed. Two sofa beds in the lounge for additional guests.
There is a separate shower room which includes washing and drying machines, toilet and basin. The lounge is very spacious with fabulous views towards Thurlestone Sands, Thurlestone Rock and rolling countryside at the rear. There is a dining area with room to seat 6.
The apartment building is set within around 4 acres of grounds, and includes dedicated car park. It is a very quiet location from which to relax.
Thurlestone is a pretty village with thatched houses, and village church. The flat is 5 minutes walk from the local pub, and Thurlestone Village Store and Post Office. Four excellent beaches are all within walking distance.
It is great for walkers, with direct access to South West Coastal footpath and local dog friendly beaches.
The flat is located around 8 miles from Salcombe and 4 miles from Kingsbridge.
Our changeover day is Saturday. Please enquire with us directly for availability for short breaks of less than 1 week or longer stays. We are flexible in the off season.

Spacious flat with a stunning view. Well equipped and good position. Easy access to footpath and the jacuzzi bath was a real bonus. We loved our trip. Chris was also very helpful with very prompt communication.
Stunning views from every window in the apartment. Comfortable, quiet and very spacious. Wonderful varied walks to Thurlestone and Bantham from the apartment.

Fabulous long reaching views
A really lovely apartment with stunning views towards Thurlestone Sands on one side and Bantham and Burgh Island the other. Spacious yet warm and cosy with everything you might need to have a wonderful stay. The Beach House restaurant nearby with fabulous sea food and also The Sloop for a friendly pub with good crab sandwiches. Perfect for a good holiday.

Superb location and views. Very quiet and relaxing at all times. Lovely village with friendly people close to several nice quiet beaches and cliff walks. Spacious, well-equipped apartment that was very clean. Highly recommended
What a stunning apartment. It was lovely and clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The view from the living room window is outstanding. The apartment is so well situated for beautiful walks and lovely beaches. We loved it!
4 Fabulous days in this beautiful spacious apartment. We arrived in the dark and WOW in the morning the panoramas from every window were stunning. Perfect location for SW coastal path and 5 mins stroll to local pub for dinner/drinks and the local shop. Our dog loved the selection of dog friendly beaches we could walk to too. Very well equipped, nothing we needed was not there and the cleanest place we have ever stayed with a lovely ensuite that looked brand new. Thank you sharing your beautiful apartment with us. A super apartment with a great view
We thoroughly enjoyed the position and outlook from this well equipped and furnished apartment. All internal fittings to a high standard but the building exterior, entrance areas and services are in need of some refreshment.
Firstly, the location and views were amazing. It’s an incredible view from the lounge. The apartment was very well stocked. If you forget to bring anything, there is a probably a supply in one of the cupboards!
However, we were disappointed with the cleanliness. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned recently. It was not ‘hotel standards’ which the owner claimed the cleaners aim for. Very dusty in places and the carpet was thick with dog hair, including clumps in places. Some places had clearly not been cleaned at all (on the kitchen floor below the cooker which was very dirty). The apartment looks like it needs some money spent on it too. The main bathroom is in need of modernisation (although the en-suite is clearly newer and more modern) and some of the decor etc feels quite old fashioned. The floor was ‘spongey’ in the hallway and bathroom (rotting sub floor?). There was minor rust within some alliances (eg fridge and dishwasher). We probably wouldn’t have booked had we been aware of some of these things but we would come back if the apartment has some money spent on it because we love the location and views!
In the owner’s defence, he was quick to respond and was keen to address our concerns. If these things don’t bother you, then this is a great apartment, in a brilliant spot with stunning views.

We are however very upset to hear about your disappointment with the level of cleanliness, which as you note our housekeepers pride themselves on “hotel” high quality (we have passed on your feedback to them). We do welcome well behaved dogs to the flat (being a “doggy heaven” location) and the housekeepers endeavour to enhance their cleaning regime accordingly.
It is a shame we were not able to accommodate your tastes in décor …. although the photos on the website show a good representation of the flat having been taken recently.
We hope you enjoyed the additional day at the flat which we offered free of charge and the reimbursement of some of the rental charge in acknowledgement of your disappointment.
The flat is lovely - but really it’s all about the location . The views are incredible and wonderful that you can easily walk to either Bantham or Thurlestone. The walks along the coast are incredible .
Well this property delivered beyond our expectations. Such a clean, spacious and tastefully decorated apartment. Beds were so comfortable. But it’s the views that were amazing, short walk to a fantastic pub with great food. Easy walk to the beaches or a very short drive. We will return…loved by the who family!

Lovely spacious apartment with fantastic views out to sea from most of the windows. Well equipped and in a great location to explore Devon. If you want a relaxing holiday in a quiet location then this apartment is for you.
A spacious flat in a beautiful location, straight out to the coastal path to Bentham or Milton Sands, or a short walk across the field to the excellent village pub. We were blessed with great weather and saw beautiful Devon at its best.
We really enjoyed our stay at this flat. It is light and airy, with stunning views from every room. It is well set up with all the equipment you might need, plus lots of extras for kids. It is lovely and peaceful, with no noise from the other flats in the house. The grounds are lovely too, with lots of room for kids to play or have a bbq. It is an easy walk to both Thurlestone and Bantham, and there is a footpath directly to the coast path and the beaches. We did lots of surfing at Bantham, and canoeing on the Avon and the Salcombe estuaries, as well as some stunning walks along the coast. If you like peace and quiet, and doing lots of outdoor activities this is a great place to stay. The owner, Chris, is very helpful and responds straight away to any messages. Altogether, we highly recommend this property.
Lovely airy large apartment with spectacular views. The village is a short walk with a golf and tennis club with grass courts nearby. We would recommend this to anybody as a great location for a relaxing break.
What an amazing part of the country, and what a spacious, comfy and well appointed place to stay: incredible views and accessible (albeit via v narrow lanes everywhere) to lots of lovely places. I hope we'll be back.
Having already visited previously we wanted to return to Thurlestone with the children during half term. Despite the weather we had a good week. The apartment is lovely and has fantastic views. It has everything you need for all ages. We had a slight hiccup with the arrival and the cleaner but this was soon rectified and Chris the owner dealt with this quickly and sufficiently. We were unable to use the bath during the week due to suspected plumbing issues linked to the main building, which is currently being investigated and fixed. This was a little inconvenient as easier with the baby but the shower in the 2nd bathroom was fine and we were able to manage. Chris was in contact regularly, updating us. This certainly didn’t put us off and we will be returning in the future. It really is a lovely place to stay and we would highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.

My wife and I have been holidaying in Thurlestone for the last 10 years or so. In the last 9 years we have been lucky enough to share this amazing location with our two energetic daughters (and labrador) who all absolutely love visiting the local beaches.
Our flat is great for couples and families with children of all ages. We have accommodated the needs of families by providing a travel cot, high chair, and monitors based on our own experiences of renting holiday homes and have tried to think of everything to make life easier and enjoyable for you!

Why they chose this property
The most relaxing location we have ever stayed in! Amazing views and great location. Fantastic for couples and families, golfers, bird watchers, walkers (we are literally on the door step of South West Coast path), surfers, paddleboarders, fisherman, or for those that purely wish to relax and take in the views.
