Shower Room: Shower, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet. Electric heaters, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack. Use of laundry room. Decked veranda with garden furniture. Lawned area (shared). 5-acre farm grounds and paddock (shared). Hot tub (Private, available by prior arrangement). Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. Set in 5 acres of farmland, this detached pod is an ideal holiday destination for couples or singles, and comes complete with a livery and chickens. This is a superb base for exploring the surrounding countryside including the medieval Cinque Port town of Rye with its cobbled streets, restaurants, tea rooms, art galleries, and a well-known hat shop that created the wonderful hats in the film ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’! Should the weather become inclement, visit the Kino cinema, the home of digital entertainment, in Lion Street opposite the town hall. The Rother Valley also offers a plethora of walking and cycling opportunities, bring your own bikes and helmets, or hire locally. Within walking distance is the Kent and East Sussex Vintage Steam Railway which chugs its way through 10½ miles of beautiful countryside, enabling you to visit Tenterden, also known as ‘The Jewel of the Weald’, and once another thriving Cinque Port town but now 10 miles from the sea. At the other end of the line is the iconic, fairytale, moated Castle Bodiam, which has changed little in 600 years. Enjoy a lazy summer afternoon soaking up the tranquillity of the River Rother and hire a rowing boat, glide effortlessly past the reed beds and spot a kingfisher or heron. The romantic recreation of a medieval manor house at Great Dixter, and its beautiful gardens, are worth a visit. No holiday would be complete without a trip to the vast expanse of golden sand dunes at Camber, glorious in the sunshine, and invigorating when the sea breezes blow. You could even try your hand at kite surfing! Beach 12 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

We had a weekend stay at The Pod and it was fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay and had a relaxing weekend in the countryside. The facilities are great and the value for money is excellent. We would highly recommend the Pod for a value for money get away.

Lovely quiet location. Pod was cleaned and everything you needed. Owners were very welcoming and easy to get hold of if any problems. The hot tub was lovely to chill and relax Would highly recommend.

A short walk to a pub down the road for lunch but all together was a lovely place to stay with everything you need there. Would high recommend. The hosts were also very easy to get hold off and very friendly too.

We had a really lovely stay at the pod.

We had a really lovely stay at the pod. It's perfect for a quiet getaway. The pod is cleverly designed with everything you need to hand. The guide is handy for places to eat and other info. We really enjoyed the hot tub as well. The location is perfect for the heritage railway as well as for many local attractions like Bodiam Castle and Rye.

We stayed at the Pod for a relaxing week away and it was amazing! From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the owners who were very friendly and showed us how everything worked and told us about the local area. The pod has everything you need for your stay from washing up liquid to luxury towels for the shower! Whilst staying we visited a few local places and had a brilliant time. Evenings in the hot tub were lovely and relaxing followed by a sleep in the most comfortable bed! The only downside to our stay was the fact we didn’t bring a pen to leave a lovely review in their guest book! But we are already looking to book again so we will make sure we bring one next time!! Highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!
